Curls Whipped Cream Heavy Curl Styling Cream, 8-Ounce Jars, CUR-009

A while back a friend gave me her container of Curls Whipped Cream No-Hold Heavy Cream because it was too heavy for her hair and I fell in love with this stuff! I wear my hair natural, but being mixed half Asian/ half Black my hair does not fall into either category of hair textures. I say it's almost the same texture as Pacific Islanders' in some ways. Anyways, I tried lots of different types of hair products and a lot left me feeling greasy or oily, but this stuff is awesome! It leaves my hair shiny, moisturized and with great waves without making it feel oily. It works as a great straightening cream when I use my flat iron and it smells like heaven, like a vanilla hmmm... cream soda. It's hard for me to find in stores so I've had to order it online. Hell, I'm sure I'd stockpile it if I did find any in a local store.

I bought this trying to find that right product for my hair after going natural.I used Kinky Curlz before trying this and I must say that both have pros and cons. This one is good for when you are styling your hair in twists or braids. But if you are leaving your hair loose, I would not recommend this one.For starters, it doesn't give that all over curl definition(frizz control-- NOT) and there is absolutely no sheen- so you have to use something else to give your hair that shine. Also, I notice that it builds up more quickly than other products that I used which means washing it more. I tried to use it in conjunction with other Curls products but still I didn't get good results.I did feel that my hair air dried in a reasonable amount of time though. Where as with the Kinky Curlz Gel it took forever to dry. Everyone's hair is different though so this may work for you.

I’m not sure if this product is intended to be used on my particular hair type but it smells great and has a nice conditioning effect on my hair. I used it before styling and it definitely added more bounce to my hair.

I've used about every curl product there is for my daughter's curly hair. This heavy curl cream glides through her hair, the curls form well, and they are soft, not crunchy like other curly hair products. I also really like the smell. It's also more product for less money than the many products we've purchased before.

I go between this and another name brand and I absolutely love them. I have thick 3A curls.

I've been using Curls products for over 10 years and love them!! I have natural curly hair and these products are the only products that keep my hair tamed and friz free without too much sheen and oil. I usually purchase these products on the Curls site but the shipping takes a long time. With Prime, I can get these products within two days; I love the convenience of that!!

Is a great moisturizer for natural curly hair

Smells good but I didn't find it extrordinary for my hair. Especially for the price.

Love this product. I haven't used any Curls products before and so wanted to see if they would agree with my hair. I used this as part of my wash and go routine. I have 4a hair. This cream is not too heavy. It isn't like a butter. It doesn't build up on the hair if you use it throughout the week. My hair tends to get very dry so I use a watered down leave in every night when plaiting my hair up. If I didn't do this my hair would be really dry. When I wake in the morning my hair is still slightly damp and so I apply some oil and then the cream. For me this product works best on wet or slightly damp hair. Used on it's own it's not very moisturizing, but that isn't how it's meant to be used. Smells nice too.

It puts my hair too dry. I did not like this product.

It is a slightly thicker cream than I expected but it does the job and smells nice.
