Very useful dry fire drills
Very useful dry fire drills. Watched this video several times, wrote out so I could practiced the dry fire drills during the Minnesota winters and practice the live fire equivalent drills at the range when weather permitted. For more drills/training go to www.Panteao.com and sign up for their streaming service with Dave Harrington and many more professional firearms instructor's. This will not replace live training with an instructor, but it really exposes you to multiple methods from other professional trainers. Take the best training from all of them and train frequently on the range and dry fire at home when range time is not possible. These will help you find a competent firearms instructor for your live training needs. Plus, if you live close to one of these instructors you can sign up for their live training. I am not employed by Panteao, their partners, or any of their participating instructors. I just seek out good firearms training practices to use in my training without spending an arm-and-a-leg and wasting time that could be better spent with useful training.

Great for at home practice
I purchased this when I purchased my first handgun. I have been using the dry firing techniques found in the video by practicing almost every day for the past month. It has been a great educational tool.

Good Dryfire Training DVD
Couple of hours of good drills once you get by infomercial on products to trick out your glock (one star off for infomercial, especially when paying forty plus for video). Dave Harrington (Super Dave) has obviously taught this material for a long time and can explain it in simple terms that even I could understand. Everybody says dryfire is essential, they may show a couple of primative drills, but they don't operationalize it the way Super Dave has done. The way I watched this was on a computer with a spread sheet open on the second screen typing in the drills. It would have helped if there were on screen graphics with name of each drill and suggested par times. The screen switched between Super Dave (who makes a lot of funny faces during drill), his hands and the target (if live fire). Would have appreciated more shots of his body and his hands along with some slow motion. I don't care about how accurate he is, i'm sure he can hit a target, I want to see how he hits the target. There was a portion of the video that was shot in rain. I totally understand "if it ain't raining, we ain't training" mindset that Super Dave displayed as he continuied to do drills in rain. I can understand the importance of doing the drills in all weather conditions and some of the issues that could arise in the rain were demonstrated. They eventually moved to a tikki hut to continue the shooting. I felt that the training value of the video would have been better if they just would have waited until rain stopped. It was an unneeded distractor. The video was shot at Altair Training Center in the Everglades. Unless there is a depression, the rain will pass within an hour or two.Video where Super Dave bobbled were kept in and I felt that this added to the presentation, because he turned them into teaching points. The dry fire drills were presented as a progression to live fire. This was useful in seeing the utility of the dryfire drill.I would recommend this to anyone who is mindlessly dryfiring because they are told they are supposed to and for anyone who is not dryfiring. This video contains clips that you will want to re-watch. People who are already purposefully and systematically dryfiring will still benefit from one viewing for new ideas.
