Scary Stories 3: More Tales to Chill Your Bones

The third book in the series definitely raises the scare factor. The stories are darker and a bit more intense than the first two, which makes it better suited for slightly older kids or anyone who wants more of a chill. The illustrations are as haunting as ever, adding to the atmosphere and making some of the tales stick with you long after reading. While it’s a little scarier than the earlier books, it still carries the same charm and campfire-story feel that makes the trilogy such a classic. A fitting conclusion to the series, and a must if you already have the first two.

This bit of nostalgia is a must have now that the publisher will no longer use the fantastically creepy artwork that you'll find in these originals. That said, I don't know anyone who grew up in the early to mid nineties who didn't love these books to death. Perfectly scary, but age appropriate. The stories are short and simple but have great, shocking twists that will keep you up at night. The perfect thing for telling stories around the campfire.

These were well written and flowed real well. I would say they would be perfect for a child who likes to read horror or see horror, movies or video games probably around the age of eight or nine was good reading skills could read it otherwise it’s probably a 10-year-old reading level but as an adult, I enjoyed reading them, and I especially enjoyed reading them to my friends grandkids who got a kick out of the stories overall, I would give it a five out of five

I've had all these books before in the past they got lost and now I reordered them again it's like they never left my side.

Let's see, it was a replacement order for the one I lost from the trio. It is smaller than the two other originals I have from the 90s. So, that's weird. Otherwise, awesome book with spectacular images!

Finally got my hands on the 3rd book in the Scary Stories series. Another nostalgic book for me, and the drawings have a lot to do with it, so make sure you get the original and not the new book. The stories were a lot scarier as a child, but still great to read and remember how it was back then. Love the drawings and the stories. I recommend the original if you are buying it for nostalgia purposes.

Read when I was a kid

The third of the kind, I've enjoyed it more than the second volume, and as much (if not more) than the first. There were some more mature stories than just "scary stories for kids" and as a 25yo, I appreciated them a lot! The humour is also appreciable!

I'm halfway through reading the book but I am joying it a lot. I already finished reading the first & second ones last month & can't wait to finish read this one. I hope to use some of their ideas for a film production later on, fingers crossed.

These are the exact same books my mom would keep in the bathroom when I was a kid :) no smartphones back then! Reading on the pot was the best way to avoid doing my chores :) I heard there was going to be a tv series on these books coming out soon, and I just needed to have them again :) All the same creepy illustrations. Best tipsy impulse purchase I have had in a while (don’t drink and prime). :) Super happy with all 3
