Based on the bestselling, timeless classic, How to Win Friends and Influence People for Teen Girls is the essential guide for a new generation of teenage girls on their way to becoming empowered, savvy, and self-confident young women. How to Win Friends and Influence People for Teen Girls , based on the beloved classic by Dale Carnegie, has become the go-to guidebook for girls during the difficult teenage years. Presented by Donna Dale Carnegie, daughter of the late motivational author and teacher Dale Carnegie, this new edition brings her father’s time-tested lessons to the newest generation of young women on their way to becoming self-assured friends and leaders. In these pages, teen girls get invaluable, concrete advice about the most powerful ways to influence others, defuse arguments, admit mistakes, and make self-defining choices. The Carnegie techniques promote clear and constructive communication, praise rather than criticism, emotional sensitivity, empathy, tolerance, and an optimistic outlook in every situation. Written in an empowering, relatable voice and filled with anecdotes, quizzes, reality check sections, and questionnaires, this new and fully revised edition of How to Win Friends and Influence People for Teen Girls is required reading for a new generation of strong female leaders. Review: Great book - How to Win Friends and Influence People for Teen Girls is a thoughtful and surprisingly relatable adaptation of Dale Carnegie’s timeless classic, tuned perfectly for a younger audience. I went into it wondering if it might feel watered down or overly preachy, but instead I found it practical, encouraging, and written in a way that feels like a friend offering guidance rather than a lecture. What I really appreciate is how the book tackles real-world teen experiences—friendship drama, school stress, social media, and family communication—without sounding condescending. The advice is actionable: things like how to really listen to people, how to handle conflict gracefully, and how to build confidence without putting others down. These lessons aren’t just “for now” either; they’re life skills that will serve a young person well into adulthood. The tone is warm and uplifting, with anecdotes and examples that make the principles easy to understand and apply. It feels empowering because it frames influence not as manipulation but as kindness, empathy, and respect—qualities that any teen girl can cultivate and use to strengthen relationships. If there’s one thing to keep in mind, it’s that some sections still carry the flavor of the original 1930s text, so there’s a mix of modern teen examples alongside timeless wisdom. I actually found that contrast refreshing, but some may feel it leans a bit old-fashioned at times. Bottom line: This book is an excellent guide for any teen girl navigating friendships, school life, or just trying to find her place in the world. It’s engaging, empowering, and full of advice that truly lasts a lifetime. How to Win Friends and Influence People for Teen Girls Review: Great for a teen girl's book club! - I used this book for an eighth-grade girls' book club, and it turned out to be quite an insightful adventure! We read one chapter per week and then came together to discuss it. The book was easy to read, filled with fantastic tips and concepts, and served as an excellent conversation starter. After just two weeks, I found myself doing very little because the girls were eager to share their interpretations of the material, what they had tried, and the challenges they encountered. Tip - We put sticky notes inside the front and back cover of each book so students could mark the parts that they wanted to discuss when we met as a group.

Great Read
When I purchased this book I had my daughter in mind but after I received it I read it myself. What great value and respect that I have fr this writer. Please give this book to any teenager. Fun and very descriptive and very understanding and fun to read. Your teen will finally start understanding whom they are and start putting together what we as parents have instilled in them and can now start putting their life together to becoming AMAZING AND KNOW THEIR WORTH. LOVE THIS BOOK. Great gifts to any teenager and adult.

Great advice overall, but...
Parents grab your sharpie and read it first. Maybe I'm too old school minded. I feel that some content is more for 18+ rather than for my 13 year old teen daughter that's starting high school in 2 months. Had to block out a few words here and there throughout the book. Found the ending of chapter 4 in particular very inappropriate that I blocked out an entire paragraph and ripped out the last page. Don't appreciate my daughter reading that sex is "supposed to be fun" and to "have a good time" while doing it. Other than that, it does offer great advice on how to communicate better with relatable examples. Older women might even benefit from reading this book if they work in a women dominant workplace full of drama and gossip. Would have rated 5 stars if it didn't have relationship and sexual advice.

Good book.
This book gives excellent advice, even for adults! It explains why each of the suggestions is important and gives short example scenarios so the reader can imagine the advice in action. I plan to give this book to my 15 year old granddaughter and strongly encourage her to read. As a teen, I could have greatly benefitted from having what I kinda knew spelled out and explained like this so that I could have a clear plan of action for success with people.

It is never too young to talk about influence
This book for Teens is a fabulous way to introduce Dale Carnegie to young teen girls. It identifies many of the concerns that teen age girls go through and how to handle them. One of the main premises of this book is about self-esteem and how important it is for girls to develop a healthy foundation early in life. The book addressess how not to give it to peer pressure, which is difficult not to give into it. Highly recommend giving this book to your young teenager for a birthday or Christmas gift. It could turn out to be the best gift you can ever give.

I'm in my 20s and still read this
I'm in my freakin' 20s and this book is awesome! I have read the original and it really didn't make much of an impact on me, but this book had real life situations I can relate to (and still deal with) that made me realize things about myself the really need to be changed ASAP. This book is amazing. If you want to learn how to be a BETTER PERSON, read this book and practice what you read! I wish I had this book when I was growing up. It would have laid a great foundation for me to be an even better leader, student, and business woman.

Provides guidance to kids about sex that’s inappropriate.
After reading the original multiple times I assumed a teen based version would appropriate for kids - that’s not the case. They use an example in the section about not being manipulated that discussed sex. Basically, have seen with whomever you want and whatever age, as long as it’s your choice to do so. What a terrible set of guidance for influential kids. They could have been more creative in thinking of a more pure example. Very disappointed.
