If you are on the fence about TV Ears, get off the fence &border a set for yourself! They are a life saver for my hearing since my husband has been using tv ears, I can watch TV with him again! He can hear the volume in his ears thru the headset & I can have the tv volume low enough for me to enjoy it If I choose to sleep the tv volume can be completely down & my hubby can set the volume e wants on the headset . Don't hesitate these are awesome!!

My husband has a severe hearing problem & watching TV with him was unbearable for me. He needed the volume up as high as it would go & needless to say I couldn’t be in the same room with him . I reluctantly bought these bc they were a bit expensive but they are worth every penny ! He is now able to watch tv & hear every word & I can join him without busting my eardrums. They work independent from the tv volume so I can lower the tv volume without affecting his volume through his headset ! This has been the best purchase I have ever made ! If you are living with one who is hearing impaired I highly reccomend you give these a try !

Difficult to install, not all tvs are same as diagramed in instructions. Works fine once we figured it out on our large-screen tv. Be careful when charging, the ears must be turned off and facing the right way in the charger. 5 stars if it wasn't such a challenge to install on our big screen HDTV.... Update May 2014: we purchased in Oct 2013. Within a short time, one set quit charging, then the other began to fade last week. So we took one set apart and found batteries, tried to get batteries at Radio Shack, n/a. So ordered them online through an Amazon vender. Batteries arrived today and we are hoping the TV ears are charging up properly. When we changed the batteries, noticed a lot of corrosion, maybe these TV Ears packages sat on a shelf for a while before we purchased them? We do live in Hawaii and corrosion is a problem but not that quick! Considering how much we paid for this set, plus 2 sets of expensive double-button batteries & postage, it seems low quality, altho' when they work, they work great. We never did figure out how to install them on our other TV, tho'. We can't find an alternative to TV Ears, wish there was another option. aloha!

Tv ears works very well, have used them for 5 years. Normal wear required replacement even though they still worked. I went with the dual head sets to allow use by a second person.Inferred does not support stereo sound but who cares. Batteries need replacement each year. You lose sound when you leave the room (refrigerator or bathroom), that’s life.But lip syncing is perfect, no latency as with Bluetooth units.

Terrible,Terrible, Terrible! Installed easily. But as others have reported, one T.V. Ear would not charge. I heard that the company will send you a replacement. So, I figured I would call them up the next morning and get a replacement. The reception was good if you are directly in front of the TV. Could not go into another room, it cut out. Then the "buzzing" started as was reported by other customers. I tried several times but the buzzing continued. That was it!. I packed them up and sent them back for a refund.

Adjusting wireless sound buttons easy to use . Works on my smart Sony Tv. Would buy again. Battery use about 5 hours before recharging.

My wife wanted something that would work every time she turned it on...unlike or over the ear blue tooth headphones. She chose the TV ears.Installation went fairly well. The optical connection on the LG Oled 4K TV has sound and picture in sync at all times (those of you with bluetooth headsets know what I'm talking about).The big problem is that the headsets very quickly wouldn't connect to the base so that they could recharge. By very quickly, I mean within a half hour of installation and testing.After carefully moving the connections on the base of the headsets and the base unit, I got them working. However they are not actually locked into the connectors. For $183 I'd expect a more robust connection.That said, the sound is variable to your taste. It can also be extremely loud. Be careful when you first turn it on.The batteries are only supposed to last for from 4 to 6 hours. So, if you start watching news at 4:00 pm expect to go to bed at 10:00 pm. In our case, my wife can use mine as I go to sleep early.I'll wait a few days to see if the charging works ok. Otherwise, I'll have to return under Amazon's 30 day return policy and try another unit.So, 3 stars for charging and, I'd say, 5 stars for using them.

It’s exactly what we needed. My husband has one also & we can listen at two different volumes as I’m more hard of hearing as him. It’s not like hearing aides. You don’t have to poke it in your ear.
