With some modifications the item did work but is not as long as advertised. It was shorter

If you have a Robert Shaw gas valve this universal thermocouple will not work. The gas valve threads are left handed and the thermocouple is right handed threads. Waste of money and time

Didn't fit my Heat-N-Glo
The nut that screws into the gas valve is much bigger than the thermo-couple that I removed. Shouldn't advertise that it fits Heat-N-Glo without saying that it doesn't fit all Heat-N-glo fireplaces.

Worked perfectly for the gas fireplace in my suite
Identical to the one I pulled out of my gas insert in my suite, unscrewed the old one, screwed this one back in and the fireplace now lights and stays lit
