Can anyone tell me how long it takes for a fresh water fill to get to boiling?

Depend on how much water you pour in. I used to pour fresh water in everytime the level stayed in the middle or slightly to a quarter of bottom. So it took approx. 15-25min for boiling.

what kind of plug does it have: 2 or 3 prongs?

Hello Helene,Our hot water dispenser has a two prong plug.

Is the seal (gasket) made of rubber/plastic or silicone?

The seal (gasket) of this unit is made of rubber.

How long this machine lasted before rusting or stopped working?

As I recall, this unit lasted about two years before the pump failed. Then we bought a Zojirushi. It costs much more money, but has lasted many years without any problems.
