Spectacular!
Ordered this and it looks EXACTLY like my granite countertop! I lost the directions on how to apply but luckily I found an YouTube tutorial. I didn't realize that you have to wait like 24 hours for the product to get used to your climate before installing. That was my only surprise and totally doable. Great product for a great price!

No doubt it's beautiful, some considerations.
ProsThis product looks fantastic and it adheres better than one could hope. It can be made to mold around what would seem to be contours that the film couldn't handle. I am amazed at the angles and bends the product can hold. It holds fast as if it were part of the counter. The application to the counter top looks better over time. The film is very easy to clean. My counters had an orange peel like texture and the film covers it no problem.Cons,The film is very susceptible to heat. It is far more vulnerable to heat that I've read anywhere. A mug of hot coffee caused a permanent ring. A hot plate of food caused a melt that took away from the perfect look on that area. Note that heat is the way you get the film to mold to contours, and that's done by simple hair dryer.Beware counter tops with large thickness and rounded edges. It's near impossible to get round areas to look right, and thick counters take away from the "real look". Still looks good, just not granite.Seriously, if you are obsessive/compulsive do not install this product yourself. You will lose control. Getting it perfect is not possible and it's nature in such large applications resist fine adjustments. It will still look fantastic in the end but you will have a bad day.Other,If you expect the film to mirror granite, it can fool you at times. If you are looking to make your counters look better and not particularly granite on a tight budget, this is the right product for you.

Not impressed
This was a big fail for me. I do lots of ‘budget friendly’ kitchen updates for my clients (I am a realtor). This did not stick well to the counter and was nearly impossible to adhere to the ends of the counter. Lots of bubbles. Looked cheap. Tore it off and used a Giani Counter-top paint kit.

Use Depends Upon Application
What you want it for and how much patience you have is key. I put this downstairs on a very ugly bartop, and it has decidedly improved the scenery down there. However, either due to the material itself or my lack of patience, there are many areas with visible air bubbles, as is common with my limited experience with contact paper. The large bubbles are fairly easy to remove with a pin and a credit card. The multitude of smaller ones I may eventually pop, or I may not. The pinpricks can be found with a little effort, and it worries me too many will negatively impact the life of the installation. One can avoid a lot of bubbles and mistakes by following the directions to scrub well and use soapy water before laying down the material. Too much soapy water will also cause bubbles - you want it damp, without any pooling, however small (oops). Proceeding slowly is definitely key, though I estimate I spent 15 minutes per square foot on my installation and it does not have the super shiny seamless look of the picture associated with this item. It does, however, look almost exactly like it in every other way. Smaller pieces allow for more control when installing and thus fewer bubbles, but create more seams, which are visible, if not glaring. Make sure all seams between pieces are perfectly aligned. Overlapping pieces are much more noticeable. I imagine these, and indeed all, installation defects would be less visible with a lighter colour material and in brighter, direct, light. Alas, my installation is not so favoured. The material itself is well-made, much thicker than regular contact paper, and it does, indeed, stand up well to cleaning and heat. I found it difficult to work with, though two people would undoubtedly make the job easier. The paper will attempt to re-roll when cutting or placing or doing anything at all with it. Laying it flat for a day or two does not seem to improve the situation. You will get a very good arm workout smoothing down the paper and trying to avoid air bubbles. Give yourself plenty of time to take rest breaks. In summary, I would recommend this for rooms that truly need updating and can get away with some "character". I am exceedingly pleased with the result downstairs and consider it worth the effort but would never consider using this on my kitchen counters at my current experience level (which is, admittedly, very very low). The directions included with the material are sparse, though what is in there is valuable.

Air Bubbles
I built a small kitchen island and used this to cover it with as a cheap alternative. It didn't look as good as I expected and contained air bubbles. I would not recommend this to anyone trying to update their kitchen countertops.

It does scratch easy as it is PVC
Worth every bit of effort. Took an old dingy white counter top and transformed it into a new looking counter top. It does scratch easy as it is PVC, it will have a spot if anything to warm is placed on it, but still worth it. I was able to prevent changing counter tops for at least a year with this product. I have not attempted to remove so I am not sure if it would come off clean. If needed I would definitely use this product again. Great find.

The product looks great especially when first on
The product looks great especially when first on. Its a little tricky to put on though without getting bubbles under. if you have any nicks, deep scratches or chips in your existing counter I found it created even the smallest bubble. I have found after several months of use in my kitchen it has lost it shine due to scratching from general putting down of items such as lunch boxes groceries ect. It has been a cheap cover up for a temporary fix until we can afford counter tops.i'd recommend buying a lot more than you think you need because if you mess up with the bubbles you'll want a new piece. Be careful not to crease it as the fold doesn't come out and is visible when applied. Would recommend for a bathroom / powder room that is only used for hand washing and wont have a lot of items placed on and off for scratching reasons. I wouldn't buy to use again id just keep saving for counters.
