This worked exactly as I needed it to on my phat ps2. I have an SSD installed in the drive bay and this memory card allows me to play my backups easily as well as manage the drives. This is well worth the price for anyone using a PS2 heavily.

I went down a whole rabbit hole of trying to get my bios off of my old ps2. I was trying to do anything that didnt involve spending money but seems the other route just didnt work out due to ps2 laser was likely just to worn and old at this point to read a dvd-r. So suggestion in research stated to buy the ps2 memory card fmcb. It came down to me having to spend money, though its not a lot. It still ended up being worth it. My boyfriend had bought a series of games that I played originally on ps2 but sadly the creators behind the game never went digital so I could not get my hands on it online to play on my pc. This thing has helped me to now be able to play them on my pc with an emulator to actually see the game in the quality of how it use to look. I couldnt even make out what was on my tv screen when hooking up my ps2 due to how far TVs have advanced. Boyfriend even bought some expensive device advertised as something you can hook up between the ps2 and tv to fix the look of it, and it did nothing to help with quality. This thing saved my situation and I am so happy thanks to it.

It works as intended. Some of the software is an older version but it's not a huge deal. I haven't had any game crashes or issues that weren't with the file I was trying to run. I'm running it on a fat model with a USB stick for storage.

It doesn't work. Everytime i launch my ps2 the screen just dims until it goes black. I cant do anything. ***** I have spoken with the seller. He has agreed to send me one in a few days when the product is back in stock as the one i have is not functioning. I will recise my review when i have the new one and have determined it works. I am happy that the seller has been in contact and has been polite. Based on the good customer service i have received thus far i will upgrade the review to 3 stars. If I get a working product in a timely manner ill upgrade it to a 5 star because to me that would show excellent customer service on the sellers part. ***** Seller was quick to reply. They refunded my order so i could order a new one. I did so and its working beautifully. So, while it sucks the first one didn't work, i love the speediness to get the issue resolved and i love the fact that they did resolve the issue. Thats great customer service imo.

works well! the laser on my slim 70 series had died and didn't want it to go to waste - had a totally legal copy of vice city running off mx4sio within minutes.

By itself, it doesn't do to much that I know of, but I'm not a computer genius. I have a PS2 slim, so I needed a computer and a usb flash drive to turn my PS2 games into iso files. After that, most games worked good on the usb stick. 1 game was a bit choppy. 1 game worked way better. Overall, I'm very impressed with the FMCB memory card. It was worth the $20.

Worked first try pretty much right out of the box. I bought another Free McBoot card elsewhere, and it had nothing but issues, this one works OUT OF THE BOX with MX4SIO. Just format your SD Card and it works no problems. Make sure you’re using OPNPS2LD v1.2.0 MX4.

Works as it should! Make sure you put it in the 2nd memory card slot :)
