Review: Five Stars - this gloves dont have any CONS! trust me i have 3 pairs of them. Review: Nearly flawless gloves for cold days. - A few months ago, I bought the Heritage Extreme Winter Gloves and was very disappointed in them. They were stiff, took a while before they warmed my hands up, and they were too bulky. Last month, I discovered these DuPont ComforMax gloves, and fell in love instantly. These are without a doubt the best winter gloves I've ever worn. They're extremely soft, durable and warmed my hands up within minutes, keeping them toasty the whole time I kept them on. I don't care if these are made for skiing or anything else- if you need gloves for the winter months, these what you need! According to the tag, ComforMax Classic gloves have 4-5 times more fiberfill layers than other insulation. Each layer is just 5-10g/sqm. Seriously, it feels like you're wearing a blanket on your hands when you feel the inside of these things. I've let a few other people try them on and some of them gasped, remarking how soft they are. It might sound dumb to be praising gloves so much, I know. But these things are just too good! The leather exterior is smooth as heck and moving your fingers around is simple. With the Heritage gloves, I felt like my hand was doing more work than it should just to do simple things like reaching in my pocket. Here, I can pick things up easily and even zip up my jacket. For gloves this big, that's impressive. The outside of each glove is very well-padded too. I tried punching a hard wall with them on and it felt just like my old sparring gloves by Everlast. Trust me, your hands are safe with these puppies on. So they're super warm, super soft and flexible...so how come I'm not giving them a full 5 stars? Well, I was actually on the fence with this, and if desertcart let you give half stars, I'd totally give these 4.5 out of 5. There are two small things keeping them back from a perfect score for me. One being the high price and the other being something that's kind of my 'fault'. First, you get what you pay for with these, though I wish desertcart was selling them for a bit less like they do with most other things. When I found these in a store last month, they were 2/3 what they cost here. Chalk that up as another missed opportunity in my life. As for the thing that's my fault, it's the fact that I have, as others have put it, 'piano player hands'. My fingers are thin, and even with the small size of gloves, there's a tiny bit of room inside. I don't know if this is a result of that or not, but there's also some excess fabric around the tips that makes it hard to pick up small things. If you have regular hands though, this should be a problem, and neither of these should prevent you from buying these. I can't say enough about the ComforMax Classics- they're amazing! I can't wait to give them a shot this winter if it snows.
