Stage1 for Rock Tumbling (Coarse 60/90 Silicon Carbide Grit)
The size of the containers are perfect for smaller tumbler that tumble up to 2 pounds of rocks at a time. For bigger tumblers one would need a bigger volume of grit than these containers. For what they are designed for though, they are about perfect. The grit is very good and works just like it should. There was no delay in the order and the product arrived quickly.

Newbie: Still learning
So I am new to rock tumbling, I just got my first hobby kit ever for my birthday in June (National Geographic Rock tumbler for those interested) the kit only came with so much grit and being as Ive collected a lot of rocks in the last however many years, I ran out fast. So I went to Polly Plastics to find some well priced and well working grit. Well it came SUPER fast. When I ordered on Friday it was estimated that I would receive my product by the following Wednesday, but I received it on Sunday. It was expertly packaged, you could tell that care went into me receiving my grit. Not only were the two one pound bags of grit in some heavy duty zipper sealed bags, but they were inside another zipper sealed bag, then wrapped in plastic. If these bags had leaked at all it wouldnโt have gone anywhere! Luckily they didnโt leak and I was able to get all my grit into the jar I use to keep it in. Iโll update in a few days to let you know the quality of the grind as my rocks are now currently in and being tumbled. Update: I took my rocks out of my tumbler today. For all those who would like to know my tumbler is a little 3 pound tumbler. Everything I have read says that you need to add two tablespoons of grit. When I pulled my rocks out today there was SO much extra grit that it had created a nearly cement layer at the bottom of my tumbler that took several washes in order to clear out the grit and get all my rocks out. Most of them were smooth enough to move on to the next phase. The grit is very shiny, almost metallic. Iโll update in a few more days, I put only one tablespoon in for this round. Update: Just pulled the batch out that had only one tablespoon of grit in it and it worked beautifully, it seems that for my 3 lb. hobby tumbler one tablespoon of this grit is plenty. I have attached a picture of my rocks that are ready to go on to phase 2.

Good grit
This grit worked great for my first ever Columbia river rock polishing experiment. I didn't have enough stage 1 grit from the "starter" pack I originally purchased. I added another 3 TBSP to my tumbler and the rocks look great at stage 1
