Acacia wood is of good quality, much nicer looking than the bamboo. Holds a good amount of salt & pepper. I wish it came with a small spoon to dispense, that would have been perfect.

To the seller of this product: Are you actually trying to sell this product with that picture? It looks like something a competitor would give you to use. Fortunately for you the actual product looks MUCH better. Acacia wood is beautiful and each piece can be somewhat unique. This is a beautiful piece. It is well constructed. The lid fits snugly but I wouldn't say tightly. Surprisingly, this is more than sufficient to keeping the salt safely inside even if the box is knocked over (think grandchildren). This is also important considering the last thing you want to see when you open a salt container is a moist gooey lump. This box keeps the salt drier than a popcorn fart. One thing I would suggest, if you have children or grandchildren they may be tempted to try to pry the lid off the box like a box of milk duds. That would be a bad thing as the lid slides and pivots, it does not come off, or at least it's not supposed to.

2 of them had drips from varnish or missing spots of varnish. Would purchase again. I like the 2 separate sections, one for salt and the other for pepper.

It’s a nice enough salt box and for the price, I think it’s a good value. I selected the split version and it is the dimensions listed. Just be aware that while the photo shows one side being larger than the other, the one that I received has two equal compartments. This still works for my use, so I’m not too upset, but I don’t believe that this item is returnable, so shop with care.The wood seems to be pretty nice and the magnets are seated tight. It didn’t smell weird or chemically like some products can.I hand washed it, let it dry and filled it up: half lava salt and half Maldon original. If the salt has any weird or corrosive effects, I’ll update my review accordingly. I considered giving it a beeswax treatment to help seal the wood better, but I’m not sure I can buff it all out of the holes.The lid on mine swings in both directions with one hand, but as others have said, it does slide around in the counter quite a bit. I may put some small rubber feet on to prevent that.

Very good quality. The swivel top is perfect. Smooth finish all round. No splinters. Easy to hand wash and dry before use. I have a salt box and wanted another box with a divider for other things. This was the perfect solution. I use it for black pepper on one side and red pepper flakes on the other. Sits on my kitchen counter by the stove for easy access while cooking, next to the salt box. Keeps moisture out. And the spices don't leech into the wood. Good quality.

I was in need if replacing my old one compartment salt container. It was made of clear glass and I dropped the lid and it shattered.I like the warmth of the wood instead of glass and like the two compartments.I'm able to store coarse salt in one side and fine in the other. Would be great for salt and pepper too. The lid is attached on this one. It spins completely around allowing access to both sides and has a tiny magnet to catch it closed. Its not extremely strong though.No complaints

I saw one like this on TV and had to get one. After reading reviews on several products I settled on this one and I'm glad I did. The product came well packaged in it's box, is very well made and holds a good amount of spice (in my case different types of finishing salts, pepper, etc. ). I don't use anything I purchase without washing it first, wood or not. It washed well by hand with hot soapy water and air-dried overnight. This product is not the cheapest but it is well constructed which makes it worth the price.

Perfect to keep on the counter, just grab a quick pinch of salt/pepper when cooking. The lid is is magnetic and slides open and close. It’s not super tight so it allows for easy opening when you have only one hand available. Great color/size.

This is a very nice piece and well-crafted. I use it for keeping two kinds of Maldon salt on the table...regular and smoked. It swivels open and closed very smoothly. Looks great. A definite re-buy.

The box arrived in perfect condition, but the item is damaged or cracked!
