They help prevent noxious gasses from building up in sand and gravel aquariums. Will not harm plants or fish. No additional feeding necessary. Please track your package and begin acclimating the clams to your aquarium, pond, or lake as soon as possible. Please note that dead clams will have wide open shells and will smell very foul. If your clams are closed, but not moving it does not mean they are not alive. The clams are likely just nervous and getting used to their new surroundings. Please do NOT discard closed clams as they are perfectly healthy. TOTALLY AWESOME
The 15 clams arrived yesterday in bags with water that I, at first, thought was too warm. UPS left the box on the stoop in full sun, and I did not get a notification. I placed the bags unopened in the aquarium and allowed the water temp to equilibrate. I said a prayer to the clam gods and placed all 15 on the fine sand section of my 55 I had set aside for them. In five minutes, 13 of those puppies had dug down and settled in. I allowed the remaining 2 unopened clams to just rest on the sand and waited. This morning, all of the little guys had vanished, so a perfect delivery. THANK YOU!

All died
The clams arrived alive, but after 2 weeks all died. They were in 2 different tanks that are well regulated. Sad!

Smaller than I expected
Surprisingly they were all alive packed well when received only issue they were smaller than I expected.

2nd order and unfortunately over half arrived dead
These are doing great! I put them in two tanks and half went to work immediately, but the other half were dead because there was no movement for several days and the water started getting cloudy so I removed the dead ones. Ive purchased from this seller before and all arrived alive and went straight into the sand to get to work. I will definitely recommend this seller and these clams.

All but one arrived alive, so I was stoked. The following day half of the remaining died. Day 3, all had died but 3. Day 4 and to present, only one is left alive. It buried itself and seems to be doing well. The die off of the others really brought down my tank’s water quality, but it rebalanced. I know it’s not the tank’s condition, as I have a big test kit, and my fish, shrimp, snails, and plants are still very healthy. Overall, they ship 15.. you’ll get one or so out of it.. in my experience. That makes it a very expensive single clam lol.

arrived ahead of schedule and all look healthy.
clams looked great, shipping was about a week ahead of the original date, the clams are shipped in 2 bags with water inside a another larger insulated pouch, i didnt notice the second bag and reached out to the seller then right after i spotted the second bag and felt like an idiot.
