I think these sound fantastic good bass, good noise cancelling and a comfy fit.

The sound is excellent, you can buy better quality sound but it is at least £20 more expensive and will not be as rugged. I have been through loads of in ear headphones as I listen to audiobooks and music all day and they usually die due to being caught on something or having appallingly shoddy connections to the cables that fray. Whether expensive or cheap they have all failed in less than a year, Soundmagic, Betron twice, Sony, a pack of three cheapies and five Sennheiser until this pair of Sennheiser CX300S. Obviously quality has improved. If I was to niggle about something, the cable is a bit long but that will be a plus to some people

I'm gonna have to find another brand than Sennheiser I like. Their products are just... now built to last. This is the third pair of CX-branded earbuds I've bought and none have lasted beyond two years. After a few months, the ends of cables turn to literal mush - apparently readily dissolving on light exposure to skin oils or body heat. A few months later, one of the earbuds will stop working and that'll be it. Unfortunately, this new design with titled earpieces is just both less comfortable and a worse fit. There are far more sharp uncomfortable edges in contact with my ear, and they pull out incredibly easily while also feeling like they're fitted in too deeply. Even a slight motion of the stiff cable will pull them loose, or they'll just pop out on their own while I'm completely stationary. The CX100 already had a stiffer cable than the pair before that and those I could tug on and not pull them loose, these however don't want to stay in even when jammed in uncomfortably. The larger earplug size is also just plain uncomfortable, while the default appears too small in comparison to the CX100's perfect fit. They're not interchangeable earplugs though, so I can't simply swap them over. Sound quality is fine, too bass heavy (I've no idea what the commenter complaining about there being too little is going on about), but that's something that I can adjust to and maybe something that'd lessen over time. But even having them a couple of days they're simply not comfortable, and I'm already aware they're not built to last. Even with an even thicker cable yet, I'm aware in a few months it'll turn soft and peel off, and then a few months later I'll lose sound on one side. That's just a constant of their construction quality. The thicker cable (and volume control) also doesn't let you loop it around your ear, which often helped with a secure fit or to get rid of cable noises. So that's off the table too. This is a real disappointment across the board. I already resent paying for a new pair every two years because of their material choice, but taking a product that fits perfectly and making it atrociously uncomfortable as well as just more expensive? It's just a regression.

These are great and very reasonably priced

I bought these back in august as my previous earphones were beginning to cut out. I used these daily until today The quality both of the product itself and sound quality seemed great. far superior to the cheaper earphones I had been using prior to these. A week ago one of the two earphones began to cut out intermittently - I stopped using it as it became irritating to listen too. today I noticed the audio quality of the remaining earphone dramatically get worse. so I decided to check out what was going on the the earphones. After unplugging the earphones, the audio jack (male) snapped off into my audio jack (female) and I was left with damaged earphones and a broken audio jack (male) in my speakers! These have been used daily, but have not moved from the fixed position at my PC where I use them. It is pretty shameful they have lasted for less than 6 months.

Unfortunately they don't make Sennheisers Momentum 2 earphones anymore so replacing with these cheaper ones. Compared to mid or high range Sennheiser the bass is boomy and over emphasised but for casual listening it's a lot better than not having enough. Microphone works perfectly. Controls on the wire are limited to only play/pause rather than also volume control. Overall for the price these are a great buy. Just a shame they no longer offer a mid range for a more refined sound but as I said, the sound is at least full and satisfying to the casual listener.

I normally go for CX300 II or CX400 II ear buds, but decided to try these as they were cheaper and could be supplied by Amazon (and thus left in safe place if not in). Soundwise, compared to the aforementioned buds—which I find to be nicely flat across the frequency range except for a bloated bass (just what I need when walking alongside noisy traffic!)—these are definitely more middley and less neutral. I will use them for music only as a last resort, but they're acceptable for listening to speech podcasts, which is my preference when walking to and from work. Feel-wise, they're quite heavy—not really a desirable quality in an earbud—so are liable to getting pulled loose from the ear and requiring pressing in from time to time. Otherwise, they're comfortable in the ear. Build-wise, they feel quite solid and less fragile than the CX300 II and the CX400 II. The cables of the CX300S are certainly thicker. The downside of this is the added weight. As with similar items they are supplied with a choice of different sized buds (medium is right for me). However, there is no supplied shirt clip; a clip is especially important for these relatively heavy ear pieces. Happily I have a few spares. They're not awful buds (I've had worse) but I won't buy more again once they break—they're too flawed all round.

Excellent quality and product. It comes with a nice little pouch to carry it in. Good noise cancellation as well.

Sennheiser CX300S are not very expensive headphones but there are still a quality headphones from this firm, and I buy there headphone products for two decades already, like this one Sennheiser CX300S mainstream headphones, to those Sennheiser headphones of much higher quality and much more expensive. I even bought this same Sennheiser CX300S headphone model one time in my life already, and I did not make mistake, because it is a good product. Yes, you cannot expect the "Start Trek" sound from them and for High Fidelity listeners, but they are not created for them in the first place, and for the others this headphones will be just fine, especially in this price ratio. All in all, I recommend them. Thank you.
