I inherited my mother's Nespresso machine, and we were really enjoying it, although not using it all that often. When our Keurig broke, we started using the Nespresso machine on a daily basis, and it became necessary to find a cheaper alternative to Nespresso pods. We are Sam's and Costco members, and even their prices weren't all that great.I randomly found Gourmesso and have been so pleased with their pods! I have ordered directly from their site before, but some of the bundles offered have been better through Amazon, so I've ordered this bundle at least twice. I do find that the bundles are way more cost effective than singular boxes, and the only downside is that they don't have bundles that include many decaf pods, meaning I've had to buy large amounts of decaf pods from another company. However, I do love Gourmesso pods overall, some varieties more than others, but I've yet to come across one I don't like at all. I'm not big into flavored coffee, either, but their flavored pods are delicately flavored and very enjoyable, especially the coconut and caramel flavors.Otherwise, they work just fine in our machine (it's a Breville Creatista Plus, if it matters), though their pods do require a fair amount of force to close the thing that pushes the pod in place. Real Nespresso pods and the other brand of decaf pods I use do not have this issue. Gourmesso's compostable pods also don't have this issue, so I guess it's just the plastic they use for their standard pods, but it's not impossible or likely to break the machine or anything. Just a little quirk of these pods and possibly our machine.

I'm now amending my original review (below) because of the sincere efforts of Gourmesso to address the problems I had with some (not all) of their capsules. In corresponding with them, I realized that I was having trouble with only one type of capsule in the package of mixed flavors that I ordered, namely the Brasile Dolce. Gourmesso let me know that they are working to rectify the problem with that particular type of capsule, which apparently occurs most often with some of the older model Nespresso machines. (I don't know why they are using more than one kind of capsule.) They refunded the cost of the two boxes of Brasile Dolce that had been included in the assortment, and they also offered to send me two free boxes of another kind. This is good service, and for this reason. I will try their products again.Original Review: Beware ~ these capsules are made of plastic, which sometimes collapses during the capsule-puncturing process. When this happens, you'll see only an intermittent stream of coffee (or none at all) and your Nespresso machine will make a strange sound, as if it's straining. Very little coffee will end up in the cup; instead, the drip tray will be full and may overflow. This has happened with four or five capsules out of 20 used so far, which isn't an impressive track record. When you consider that you get no coffee out of the defective capsules, it raises your overall price per cup.The flavor is okay. Not great but acceptable. I won't buy these again.

This is a great value for the espresso drinker that does not have a discerning palate. I am a culinary Institute Grad and was trained to make espresso by the Lavazza family. So to gauge your decision on me would be truly unfair. However in hopes to educate and share my professional opinions I will begin. The pods are pre packed in packs of 2. So if you do not drink them often I fear the remaining one may become stale or lose some flavor profile. The nose is aromatic and robust as it should be. The flavored pods are true on the smell for that particular flavor. Now into the shot!This is comparing only to Nespresso since these are to replace them. right off the bat I see a difference in the crema. The density and richness are much weaker comparably. Crema breaks down too much while stirring in sugar. Nespresso crema still holds up, which is important to me. The richness and flavor of the espresso are also noticeably different. Flavor depth and even the viscosity of the brew are thin. All this said, this is a great value for someone who appreciates the taste and benefit of espresso. If you can notice the difference in wines then this is a similar concept. I can go to Trader Joes and get a bottle of Charles Shaw cab for $3 but its not the same as a $20 bottle from Napa or Europe. so Keep that in mind. These are almost half the price for a reason. Will buy again to keep for my office staff but will buy Nespresso to appease my palate.

Sadly, like many other reviews claim, these pods are definitely not as good as the Nespresso branded ones. Once and a while I seem to get a cup that tastes pretty good, however this is very inconsistent, maybe 1 in 5. I don't know if this is just my imagination or that some of these pods are "fresher" than others. The take home point, though, is that these pods are an acceptable, budget substitute for those just looking for a caffeine fix. If you want quick, easy, "good" espresso stick with the original ones.I have a couple ideas about what could be causing the inconsistency. One- it could be that time between roasting/grinding/sealing varies and that some pods end up in storage outside ideal conditions. Two- I've noticed that the foil on the pod is rarely ever evenly punched across it's surface after use. This could lead to uneven water flow through the pod and over/under extraction of some of the grounds.[Update] 9/18/15Gourmesso has contacted me regarding my experience and has offered a full refund. It's really nice to know that they stand by their product and that they are working on their quality control issues. Might give it another shot (bad pun, I know).

Overall this brand of expresso is good. There taste is great as well as freshness. Some people commented on number of total capsules being less than what was indicated but when I got my package they were all there as well as the flavors shown in the picture.

The quantity is incorrect by 50 capsules I tried making one capsule the flavour and intensity is next to none, no one to contact regarding shipping error I can only write a review. On the photo is a freshly made cup of the most intense flavour which is “ARABICA” it looks like a tea not the strongest coffee. I am very disappointed for 70$ don’t waist your money.I do not recommend this product!!!

I received 100 counts instead of 150, and this product is not eligible to return. No one cares about this error. won't buy it again.

Taste ok some are very light but it does the job for me I recommended for people who like cafe not to strong.
