Bought this for use at work as a stand alone clamp meter to check current supply currents in to inverter drives and also motor supply outputs. Very good accuracy even at low current levels...displays to 3 decimal points. Good solid construction. Well pleased.

When dealing with split phase or 3-phase motors, this instrument can prove very valuable. It gives very steady readings upon which the user builds confidence in the device. The probes are insulated with a good thickness and may be used around highly lethal voltages with a good safety margin. What I liked about this multimeter is its positive switching. There are no false positions or halfway positions likely to mislead the user, thus mistakes on range switching are not possible. The temperature probe provided proves quite accurate and gives fast readings, yet is rugged in design. The meter's quality is reflected in its price, not only is it dearer than many other multimeters of similar design, it is worthy of its price. A quality instrument for everyday use in the field. It isn't power greedy, easily slips into an overall pocket, comes provided with a zip-up flexible case, has large figures and a switched ON/OFF illuminated display. You won't have a problem spotting the decimal point either. Whoever designed this meter must have been an expert in ergonomics. Highly recommended.

Super little meter, used it to trace a small amount of earth leakage, measured 9mA very accurately. Turned out to be cumulative from several computer psu’s. Not tested other capabilities but impressed so far.

Cheap as chips but does the job

I'm an experienced electrician, and needed a cheap multi function pocket meter, for troubleshooting purposes, which wouldn't matter if it was dropped, damaged, or lost. This devices probe leads push into the body very deeply. They must be inserted beyond the 90% depth point, before you feel them vaguely 'click-into' position. However they very quickly retract of their own accord, with absolutely no warning, and after as little as a couple of millimetres of retraction they disconnect - but still appear to be properly inserted. This means you will get ZERO VOLTAGE READINGS on LIVE WIRING!!!! The danger is abhorrent and mortal in nature. These should be CONDEMNED as UNFIT FOR PURPOSE because they are a DEATH TRAP, and quite honestly Amazon should be ashamed of themselves for even marketing them.
