Demon Thief (Demonata Book 2)

While keeping the gore from the first novel, another level is added in the mental anguish of the protagonist. The main character is more relatable and the world building that was in the first novel is transferred to the demon world in this one. Characters are explained as they go in a cohesive way making this novel more seamless than the first.

My favorite part about this book is that it was real good.

A solid 5 out of 5! I would have to say that this book is my favorite book in the series so far.

Got the whole collection and the books are worth reading if you’re into dark stuff. Love them.

Is a fun and easy book to read, with a really good story.Really good thriller with a bit of comedy and some kind of romance.

I am reading through this series for the second time now and I think I am enjoying it more this time.I originally read this book when it was originally released. Now, years later it is even better. Not to mention the fact that is has been a long while and there are subtleties that I missed last time. Darren Shan is without doubt one of the best authors around right now. If you like this I highly recommend: Peter V. Brett's "The Demon Cycle" or Kevin Hearne's "The Iron Druid Chronicles. They aren't in the young adult categories but they are amazing.

I really liked his Cirque du Freak series and now this Demonata series is off to a GREAT start.Once again Darren Shan has a another great series.Can't wait to read all of them !!!!!!!!What an imagination with twists in the plots that really surprise & please me.The characters are so believable........

Final Thoughts:Packed with magic, demons, and all the horror a reader could wish for, Demon Thief is a smashing successor to the series’s first instalment Lord Loss. Riveting adventures and visceral vistas create a world of pure imagination, and the arcs of characters compliment the horror with relatable emotions. Demon Thief’s juicy expansion of its lore, however, pales in comparison to the terrific twists it has in store for the reader. I remembered why this book was a frustrating read after buying it again and re reading it. It doesn't follow on from lord loss (as in the characters change. The perspective and tense doesn't). arrived in fantastic condition the day after I ordered it. Perfect hardback book with an immaculate dust cover. Perfect read. A definite buy for any Darren Shan reader. Especially one who likes the Demonata series.

This is a very good book, very descriptive and keeps you interested. I am an adult reader and although i think they are aimed at the teenage audience i am really enjoying them. Bought my daughter book 7 without realising that they were a series so were starting from the beginning and working our way through which is not taking very long as they are easy to read.

Again Darren shan has blown my mind. Excellent writing would recommend to all. I wouldn't let very young children read these books but this is something i would have loved as a teen. Glad i have found him now. Lord Loss gets to you, he gets under your skin, Shan pulled the wool right over my eyes. I was shocked, caught out. You have just got to read this folks i highly recommend it.

This book is a great read. I bought this for my daughter and she didnt put it down until she was finished it. Darren Shan is a great author for any young teenager. Good product, great quality. I would recommend it. Shipping in the time as stated. 100% recommended.
