Sunday Afternoons Havana Hat - Unisex Fedora

This is my favorite hat. I originally purchased the same Sunday Afternoons Havana Hat while in Germany and liked it so much that I ended up leaving it with a good friend who also love that hat. That made buying another one an easy decision. Value for the price is more than fair compared to other Havana Hats. As mentioned, this is my second purchase of the Havana Hat, and it's just as good as I remembered. The fit is excellent, it's comfortable to wear for long periods, and it looks great with just about anything. The color is perfect! The quality is outstanding, and it's a hat I reach for regularly. If you're looking for a stylish, comfortable, and well-made hat, I highly recommend it.

We love these hats. We’ve purchased them in a variety of colors over 1/2 dozen times— the price has been consistent and I think is fair, especially for a hat that is sized. They do fold and pack well in a hard sided suitcase (Do not leave them compressed for long because their brims grow more distort the longer they’re folded, becoming curled up rather than returning to shape. (You can get them mostly back in shape with patience and wear though.). The internal sweat band does discolor over time, but we’ve had some success surface cleaning the inside band, which is soft and comfortable. This is more an issue on lighter shades. We’ve not tried to clean the paper straw itself— when they get too grimy, they segue to yard work, dog-walking hats. They’re a classic style that everyone from my husband to our fashion-aware 20-ish child is willing to wear. They’re well made, the colors are true to what’s on the screen. We are people with larger sized noggins and both I and our child have a lot of hair— they fit, but they are a bit snug and we wish there was one more size larger available. While they SHOULD fit, based upon the size chart and remain the best option we’ve found (hence the repeat purchases), they are snug and they do NOT relax much with wear.

Amazing hat!!!! It is a very great quality- you can tell that the craftsmanship is amazing and well thought of. The material is not heavy but it’s definitely a sturdy hat. Also provides just enough sun coverage of the face and neck without being one of those beach hats. And it’s a great style like you can go out shopping with them or go to brunch in urban areas and keep the sun out of your face and not feel like you’re at the beach either. I ordered a small because I have a 20 inch circumference head- and it fits my face and head perfectly. With no movement but not tight which is great. Highly recommend this hat

I purchased this Sun Buddies packable, woven paper Panama for travel so that I wouldn't destroy my good hat, and was very pleased with it in general. Don't let the "paper" composition that some reviewers cite deter you, as this is the composition of ANY packable hat (and many non-packable ones as well). It is high quality, tightly woven, durable and retains its shape very well - the equal of any similarly priced straw woven hat, and probably better. The internal sweat band is also a nice addition and of high quality. It is handsome and the medium sized brim shapes nicely to be either flat brimmed as illustrated, or with a more stylish "front-down, tail-up" look of a fedora. I actually received a number of "very nice hat" compliments from and even a couple of inquiries from the Roman's we encountered in our visit. As for travel packability, I was pleasantly surprised. Simply folding the side brims up and gently collapsing the crown length ways along the center crease made a nice package about a foot long, 6 inches high and an inch thick that fit nicely in my carry-on. I tied it loosely around the middle with a cord, and it easily unpacked into it's original shape. It survived 3 weeks of heavy use and packing in 95-degree weather in Italy and still looks like new. I don't think I would recommend folding this tightly flat or rolling it for packing in luggage, as it would probably crease and would need ironing or reshaping to get the creases out, but you could certainly try. I like mine too much to subject it to that. The one major criticism I have (and the reason for 4 stars) is that the woven paper strand are of such high quality - very tight and heavy duty - that this hat is quite HEAVY and HOT compared to most summer straw hats, and has very little little ventilation as a result. Yet, I'm glad I had it for a hot and sunny trip and will use it frequently in the future.

Nice hat if your head is the right size. The small was too small and the large too large. I’m aware that there is adjustment under the band however I had to adjust the large size hat to its smallest setting to get a good fit, but then the hat simply looked too big on my head, with too much space on each side of the hat opening. The smaller hat, even when adjusted to the largest size, was too snug. Small medium, and large sizes would be best .

I love this hat! It is really well made, the fiber is thick but soft, and the stitching is sturdy. I had it in my luggage for many long hours of travel. I was hesitant to squash it, or roll it up, so I packed some clothing around it. and it came out perfectly fine, not crushed or folded. The look is awesome, and the fit is good. One of the things that makes it stand above other brands is the adjustable feature. There is a small band in the back that has a velcro adjustment to keep it snug for windy days, or looser for hot still days. Best yet on any hat I have. Many compliments on it to be sure, and best of all this is a hat that is comfortable to wear just about anywhere, and for long periods of time.

El material es de muy buena calidad. Me preocupaba que no se viera idéntico a como se ve en las imágenes, pero sí. Está bien hecho, se ve que es duradero y solamente falta probarlo para ver si es suficientemente fresco para un clima cálido. Aunque llega doblado precisamente por venir en un paquete de tamaño reducido, después recupera su forma tal como debe ser. lo voy a poder empacar en la maleta sin que se convierta en un sobrero arrugado. Lo mejor del sombrero es que puede ajustarse al tamaño necesario.

What a delight! I first ordered the cream Havana hat in small but received a crocodile Dundee style hat with beads and whatnot. Amazon was great I sent it right back in the box it came in, and reordered in medium because that was all that was available. What arrived was my new favourite hat!!! Sturdy well built hat with spf 50 and tonnes of style. I wish I could’ve gotten it in small, but since this is adjustable I tightened up the medium and it fits well. If you are searching for a gorgeous, summer hat that looks smart and feels well made this is the hat for you!

Non mi ero accorto che è di produzione cinese: non lo avrei preso, per esperienza i prodotti cinesi sono 4 su 5 pessimi. Non è per niente come nelle foto: la tesa è molle e pandente da tutte le parti; la cupola è dura, e si appoggia alla testa danno fastidio; il tutto è molto pesante: scrivono che è di carta ma sembra di plastica pesante e dura. Pessimo lo ho reso.
