Is this ok for a 1972 Evinrude 25hp 2 stroke?

You might want to check with Evinrude. This is formulated for newer e-tec engines with oil injection.

I have a 1997 2-cycle 60hp Johnson that is oil injected. Will this oil work with my outboard?

This oil is for gen one e-tec engines, most likely you have an Evinrude ficht engine that requires an oil heaver than xp100 if you use this oil in your 1997 vintage engine I think you would would have problems to say the least.

Buy OEM Evinrude XD100 oil, you have an OB that runs at high rpm. Buy OEam Evinrude XD100 oil for the same price, I always do and never had any issues with my 200 HP

What is the difference from the evinrude xps e-tec xd100 outboard motor oil 1 gallon 0779711, 0764357 and the evinrude johnson 764357 e-tec xd 100?

i dont really know , I use the 0764357 XD100 because that is what the Manufacturer recommends for the 2017 E-TEC 150 HO .....
