These rotors are priced perfectly and completely changed the stopping of our Odyssey for the better. They look great also. I had complete faith that they would be much safer for the long downhills going from Utah to Cali and AZ often! No worries about overheating which happened to our previous oem set!!!

Customer Service is a joke. Installed front pads and rotors on Honda minivan in February 2024. After a month, the brakes were loudly squeaking and there was an extreme amount of brake dust on the wheels. When I say extreme, I mean solid black only a day after washing. Even after 1,000 miles, the pads still smelled as if they were brand new being broken in. I called the manufacturer and was told to give it more time. Another month passed and the problems persisted. I was instructed to take my vehicle to a garage and get a brake inspection report. I was told by R1 staff the brakes would be replaced if they were found to be defective by a garage. Big Brand Tires determined my pads were at 3 and 4 millimeters and the rotors were grooved, causing the squeaks. They told me to return the product. The garage prepared a full report with measurements listed and I emailed it to the manufacturer. R1 Concepts will not accept my report. They continue to ask for more info, in which two garages said there is no more info to offer. After making me jump through these hoops, R1 Concepts then told me they are just a manufacturer and I need to contact Amazon for a refund or exchange. I continued to complain that the pads provided to me are clearly not ceramic. There is no way ceramic pads are 75% worn after less than 6 months of regular family driving. R1 responded that the drilled and slotted rotors they sold me may actually produce more brake dust because of additional friction and heat dissipation. I responded with a screen capture of the product description on Amazon and highlighted all the areas where it listed their product of having "low dust" and "extended brake pad life." Every time I respond to R1 I get a generic email response to obtain a "brake inspection report," which I have already done and submitted. Very frustrating. A complete loss of money as I must replace these pads and rotors after only about 6k miles of mom driving the kids to dance lessons. It should be noted I have R1 pads and rotors I installed on rear of minivan without these issues. Something is clearly wrong with the pads and rotors I received. Would not recommend anyone order this brand. I switched to Detroit Axle on Amazon for my truck and have had no problems.

They work well but have super loud screeching issues everything I come to a stop I sprayed them down with brake cleaner and the scree thing stopped for a bit but came almost right back, that's the only bad part but they work really well for stopping power. Installed on my 2013 honda odyssey touring elite.

Pros: Good stopping power Quiet and smooth breaking No warping of the rotor so far. My previous rotor was warped and caused a lot of vibration when breaking. Cons: Break pad makes a lot of dust. Clips that came with the break pad doesn't fit. The break vibrates and make noise the first few breaking. After that it goes away.

Honestly these are miles better than the factory parts. My factory rotors warped in 4 months. I installed these myself and I realized why they warp. The factory design has spring clips on the outside of the pad to push the pads away from the rotor, but it does not push the inside of the pad away. Because of this, the inside of the pad stays in contact with the rotors as you drive and cause them to warp. I prefer to install pads with permeated high temp grease (the one with aluminum in it) on the backs of the pads, and on the parts of the calipers that come in contact with the pads. This will reduce any vibration and doubles as a way of adhering the pad to the caliper without having to glue them. I also used a product called “Kent - Brake Silencer” in order to burn off any film on the rotors and create an optimal bedding process for the brake pads and rotors. It is so satisfying to hit the brakes on my car now, it’s smooth as silk, and one of the other major differences is that now I hear the tires under braking because these bite so much harder than the factory pads. I was originally at the point of shopping for a new car because I was so frustrated with the poor brake design on this van, but now it’s so nice, I’ll hang onto it for a while longer.

Disappointed. The rotors were fine but the breaks did not fit.

So if your wife is going through rotors like crazy you need these! They have lasted so long for the value they are a must! They install just like stock rotors eliminating vibrations! The dust is minimal and it comes with all hardware!
