Accurate and compact
I put some Velcro to keep the leads neat when not in use. Definitely fits in your pocket. Pretty accurate from my experience. Auto power off is a plus. The meter is very sensitive it will respond to the leads being close to emf.

Awesome pocket meter
This thing is awesome! You can tell the quality is very high. I had to retire my old OTC Stinger I’ve had for many years so I decided to try this first purchased a cheap one here, and as soon as I opened it up, I knew it was a piece of junk. So after doing a little more research, I came across this brand. I decided to get this one since it’s simpler and I don’t need all the other functions of the more expensive ones. The continuity beeper is premium. The test leads are premium the case on the meter is premium. I anticipate this meter will last much longer than any cheap. When I would’ve bought one thing to note, is that calling it a credit card sized meter is a stretch I’ve included a picture to compare it to my desk. Calculator, it is easily pocketable , though, which is all I was after. I can easily recommend this to anyone looking for these functions.

Nice portable meter.
This is a simple voltage averaging meter. Perfect for sticking in a small kit or in a vehicle. I carry mine in a messenger bag and use for AV diagnotics in PA equipment. This simple meter in class III 300V & Class II 600V rated for AC and DC installations. It's not suitable for large DB boards and heavy switch gear but for end user equipment or automotive daignostics this is a great tool to have on hand. It's capable of AC and DC voltage measurement to 600V. It has a bar graph on the bottom of the screen which is a rarity on cheaper meters and a terrific diagnostic tool. In addition this meter has a continuity tester, a resistance measurement feild, and a 3V diode check. It's a 4000 count auto ranging meter with selectable manual range override.Included in the kit is a detailed user manual and a nice folding "wallet case". The one complaint I have is the perminantly affixed test leads. These are small and flexible and well suited for general use applications. But they also the Achilles heal of the meter as when (not if) they become damaged, they cannot be replaced. That said, if you catch this on sale, it's cheap enough to replace assuming you get a few good years of service out of it. Amprobe is a division of Fluke. I've found most of their products to be quality built and this model is no exception. Granted it has some limitations, but I'm reminded of the saying, the perfect tool is the one you have on hand when you need it.Update: 7-11-2015Note: The DM78C is the credit card size meter. The DM73C is the pen model. I have the 78C so my review pertains to that model. After two years it's still going. Though admittedly it sees light usage. However I have noticed two issues. The auto ranging tends to dance around with no source connected to the leads. This doesn't seem to effect the measurement accuracy greatly but it is noticeable. The other concern is the probes are aging ahead of the meter as I feared they would. They never were as ridgid as a traditional DMM probe but now they'rd showing noticeable flex when pressure is applied accross the probe broadside near the finger stop. With this I no longer believe my meter to be safe for potentially hazardous voltages (inclunding 120V testing.). Other than that it still functions which still makes it a practical meter for on the go electrical/electronic diagonotics or as a meter in an automotive tool kit. I've docked it one star for the poor lead quality since they are board soldered and would require a fair bit of work to replace. However don't let that dissuade you from purchasing if this is truely to be portable "tool kit" type meter for you. Once I disassembled the meter I was all at once very impressed. I was struck at just how well put together the case was. There are nearly full thickness blast shields on all sides of the case and even on the battery compartment door. The planning and engineering that went in to these shields shows how well designed it really is in terms of safety. I see now why it was able to be rated a CAT III device. Should Amprobe ever update this meter I would like to see female banana jacks added on the bottom or sides. Even if that adds a couple of mm of thickness to the casing. Or a pair of silicone pigtails with female jacks so that traditional DMM leads could be used.

Great product but probe needs improving.
The exposed metal on the tip is VERY short. It is done for safety I assume but I need them longer. Working with 2 hands, the meter and the wiring you are working on becomes more difficult as you try to line up the tiny metal precisely.

It’sCompact but functional, does a great job.
Husband wanted this, he is electrician, Heating & A/C. It’s easy to use, convenient because if size, fits in pocket. He says it works just like full size and is so glad that he has it.

Good in theory but falls short.
Good build quality in general, but mine came defective. The screen blinked rapidly and didn't record any voltages, so I sent it back. My biggest reason for buying it was that I wanted a pocket multimeter for keeping in my small portable tool box. There are many cheap pocket DMMs on Amazon and most are from somewhat unknown companies, and I'd heard good things about the other small Amprobe (PM51A). However, I bought this over the PM51A because of its wallet-type case which makes it more compact. This is true - the case, although pretty flimsy (very thin and one of the Velcro pieces meant to hold the test leads in place was already kinda peeling off), makes it more suitable for storing on a very compact way.In summary...Pros: Seems like good build quality for a pocket DMM aside from the iffy case. Very compact.Cons: The case, while convenient, is not great quality. The test leads were very thin and very flexible. And the obvious - mine came defective. After I sent this back, I ended up buying the Amprobe PM51A and I'm much happier with it. Although it doesn't have any sort of storage case, it feels more robust, has thicker, sturdier test leads, and does have a very convenient little piece that allows you to wrap the test leads and clip them securely in place for great portability.

Useful as a small bench tester
Best used as a tiny bench tester, not really a "portable handheld" (read below). Takes little storage space, not heavy duty. Probes are tiny and sharp which helps in tight circuit boards. Comes affixed to a folding card for display protection.I wish the wires and probes were coiled into a groove around the outside for compact storage. The probes should snap into slotted holders for two-handed reversible operation, handheld probe style. As it is, wires are velcroed to the card for storage which is not very efficient and will be snag-prone in the toolbox. The unit must be mounted somewhere while holding both probes, which means in a standing position you end up holding too many objects or letting the tester dangle. The probes are made with flanges for snapping into a holder, but no such holder is built into the tester. This improvement would add 1/8th inch to each side, but would improve its functionality greatly. As a workaround, a heavy rubber band helps make it a real handheld tester.Everything else seems to work fine.

Feels cheap
Like the size that’s it, the cable for the probes is awful the could t of used anything stiffer and the probes are stupidly small and I know they need to be small to fit in the case. Oh and the case is awful won’t stay closed as it’s been in the packaging so long and it has no clasp or magnet to hold it closed. Poor effort

Tamaño perfecto
Es lo que buscaba. Un polímetro pequeño que puedes con puntas sencillas para usar en espacios reducidos y no tirar siempre del fluke 87. Viene con batería. Si midiera intensidad no usaba otro
