Do these have a tie around the waist?

No. The waistband is made out of the same material as the leggings, just double thickness, with a really useful little pocket for your locker key. They fit really well :)

I want to get these for my 13 yr old niece. Shes a size 8. Will rhe fabric protect her modesty and will a sml fit?

I'm a 10/12 & bought a medium, when I buy again I may go for a small because I like my wobbly bits restricted as much as poss. Great fit & cover where needs to. A small is fine for a size 8.

What is the inside leg length of the long ones?
