Perfect for school's international night celebration!
This is such a sweet book that my ESL students in grades K-5th enjoyed listening to. I found a unit lesson plan online that suggests the use of this book which was perfect for my school's international night celebration. I had third graders use the poems to practice fluency, 2nd graders wrote a persuasive letter to their parents asking them to adopt one of the traditions in the book, and first graders made their own wishes after a shared reading lesson with the Mexican tradition. It was a great unit to do right before winter break! I highly suggest this book for any teacher but especially ESL teachers. Enjoy!!!

Great for reading practice for my students.
I haven't used this book yet for my 1st and 2nd grade reading students. I think they will like though and I bought it to give them a glimpse of other cultures around the world for their reading practice.
