I got this for working in the sun after too many burns from forgetting hat/sunscreen, or just the minimal coverage of a baseball cap. I like it! The brim is wide of course, but not ridiculously so. It's enough to create good shade on your head, ears, nose, and neck no matter which way you face in relation to the sun. The venting mesh works well and keeps you a whole lot cooler than non-vented. The tie also works well to keep it on in the wind, or just stuff it in the hat if you don't need it. The brim is stiff enough that it doesn't flap wildly in the wind, yet isn't uncomfortable. Seems to be good quality, I've worn it many times the last 2 summers and it shows no signs of falling apart.

This is a perfect size for any outdoor activity and fits me perfectly. The strap is easy to adjust and keeps the hat on, even in high winds. The hat is a nice light beige, super comfy (the brim is pretty still but that helps it hold the shape and will probably loosen up over time). It keeps the sun off so I don't burn and makes it easier to see without the sun glare so overall a great purchase. I have seen reviews with poor longevity complaints so if I have issues over time I will update. For now I am happy!

I’ve been using this hat for 2 months now so I can finally give an honest review. Overall I find the hat easy to wear and comfortable. I enjoy that it folds in half so I can stick it in my backpack. You can tighten the top to fit your head better. The sweatband, though, is a little annoying and needs to be tucked in. The cord that allows you to have it hanging on your back can also be annoying but I tie it to the piece that tightens the top part of the hat so it’s out of the way. For $11 I can’t complain too much and it keeps the sun off me so it gets the job done. I wouldn’t recommend if you, let’s say, work outside every day and need a sun hat. But for gardening, hiking, boating etc. It’s perfect!

I have ordered 5 of these. We use them when we are outside for yard work mostly. They seem to keep us cooler and have less sun burn on our necks and face. We like that they are adjustable. When on the mower it is nice to have a secure fit so the hat does not blow off, but if you are just walking around then you can have it looser. It also great to have them adjustable if you share the hats for some reason. I have washed them multiple ways. I accidentally washed a couple in the washer when they were super dirty. The first time I threw them in the dryer. They came out bent and beaten, but still held their shape. We continue to use them. Another time I washed them in the washer but did not put them in the dryer and hung them up. They still looked beaten, but held their shape. For the most recent washing, I washed 2 new ones in the kitchen sink, patted them dry, then hung them up to dry. They looked the best...not new, but close to it.

Great hat! It's lightweight, doesn't trap heat. We hiked about 7 miles in 90 degree sun and the top of my head didn't feel the burn. The brim is just wide enough to keep the sun off of my whole face and back of my neck, but it's not so wide that it's floppy. I purchased this for gardening and going to the beach/kayaking, this was my first trip testing it out and it passes!

I liked the way this hat fit and the shade it offered. I had the impression it would be more breathable due to the mesh around the head, however, although I was hiking in the woods with mild temperatures, my head became very sweaty in this hat I’m still glad I bought it, but really had wanted something with a bit more ventilation.

I just had the inaugural outing for this hat on a day of sunny hiking in the Sierra Nevadas. I'm really pleased -- the hat is very well made and the wide brim does a great job of keeping the sun off your head. The 360 degree mesh on the hat is very effective at keeping your head cool with even a slight breeze. My only complaint (and this is more of a personal issue than a product issue) is that an absorbent sweatband on the front of the inside hatband would have been a plus, but that's a common issue with nylon or polyester hats for me. I'll find a sweatband and add it, but the hat itself is first-rate. I'd definitely buy this one again.

I bought this hat for fishing and kayaking and am super happy with the fit and comfort. It's very soft and pliable, but the brim holds up and is perfect for keeping the sun off the back of my neck and out of my eyes. It is very lightweight and foldable so adding it to your outdoor kit is a cinch. The size is perfect for me--I usually wear a 7 1/2, so smaller heads might need adjust using the cinch strap. Beige color is great for the Texas sun--the lighter the better to ward off the heat. Highly recommended.

Unfortunately they break the brim by folding the hat in half instead of sending it flat, so in effect hat looks shoddy even when new.

Bought this hat for a Halloween costume which is fine. But I'd never actually wear this hat. It's cheaply made and stiff. Very odd and disappointing.

Not quite what I was after, but then it's difficult to see over the internet...the pictures are similar, but clearly different to the hat I received.

The hat that came has a wider brim and a shallower crown that doesn't keep its shape. I'll use it until I find something I like but what I liked about the hat I ordered was its shape.
