Totally solved my ground loop hum problems. Genius!
I bought this cable after buying a new subwoofer for my home theatre system and finding I had the annoying ground loop hum issue. Apparently this was because with the newer, better sub, it was now picking up the problem that had probably been there all along. Either way, it was incredibly annoying to have this low level hum going on all the time. I had tried all the usual things to stop it and even bought a Ground Loop Isolator remover thing (complete waste of time and money). Getting rather desperate to sort this I rang up KEF who make the sub and asked them, they recommended looking at the Audioquest cables as they have a ground wire that runs with the cable, alloying you to earth the sub to the amp. (By the way, the photo doesn't show it properly, but there is about 6-8 inches of wire for the ground, the pic only shows an inch or so but you do have more room to find a fixing point, I even managed to make it stretch to the ground plug on my amp. For the speaker side you just need to find a screw on the back of the amp to attached it to.) The reason for this rather long explanation is that having googled everywhere for a solution to this and finding nothing, this cable perfectly solved the issue. Although if you talk to Audioquest, as I did, they won't totally guarantee it will solve it, they said in almost all cases it will. I can't recommend them and this cable highly enough as now my lovely new sub works perfectly and it's all down to this cable. Ground Loop Hum is a huge problem if you get it and for home audio or home theatre systems this has proven to be the only solution and I wanted other people to know how they can fix it too. The cables aren't cheap, they aren't that expensive either, but if you've spent hundreds of pounds on an amp and speakers, a few pounds more on the cables to make them work properly seems a justifiable expense. I hope this review helps other people find a solution to the ground loop hum problem as it has me, and I'm delighted.

Excellent, it cured my subwoofer 'hum'!
I nicely made cable, and with the all-essential earth cable that can fix annoying subwoofer 'hum'. Using an Onkyo NR-616 amp and Kube 2 subwoofer, this was easy to fit and there is now no earth loop hum whatsoever. Sound quality seems fine, about the same as with another half-decent cable. But if you suffer from the hum, the fact that this might fix it is the most important issue!

Great job.
I had a hum coming from my KEF Kube-2 subwoofer when connected to my Denon AV Receiver. This cable, when plugged in was still giving the hum until I connected the two pieces to the screws on the sub and receiver. No hum at all now. Great job.

Great cable solving my sub hum
Excellent cable solving my sub hum. In the majority of cases you get what you pay for. True here too. More expensive than the various £10 RCA cables available on Amazon however the quality is evident here. An in built ground cable solved my hum as I had the sub plugged into a different electrical socket. There is only one cable, the ground cable spurs out towards the end.

Does the job (make sure you isolate the ground forks if not using)
Not a bad lead, didn't find much difference in bass response quality to my old lead, and the ground forks caused a problem with shorting my speaker set up. Easy to manipulate into position and good quality connection. Does the job.

This cable fixed the annoying subwoofer hum/drone I had.
I tried other grounding devices in an effort to stop the common subwoofer hum/drone that was really doing my head in & nothing worked. But this has fixed my issue & I am chuffed to bits. If all else fails for you, try this cable. Or just buy this cable in the first place. No more annoying sub hum = one happy customer.

Perfect product if you are experiencing a humming noise from ...
Perfect product if you are experiencing a humming noise from you sub that you wish to elmitnate. I have a Kef Kube-2 which hums constantly. I tried various subwoofer cables and mains conditioners. Nothing worked. As soon as I tried this cable with the earthing lugs screwed to the metal plate on the subwoofer and to the metal chassis on the amplifier then the hum instantly dissapeaered.

Does the job
I was looking for a sub cable and was recommended this particular one as it had a grounding cable which helps to limit/stop potential 'hum'. I guess for an beginner in audio this makes the mind field decision making a little easier. Yes its double the price of others but with this feature it makes it a more attractive to people wanting to limit unwanted noise in the signal path.

Upgrade to speaker cable for sub, definitely!
I cannot swear on the properties of cables. And I have read a loooooooot about them! All I can say is that in my experience it brought out tighter cleaner faster bass out of my 15 year old Definitive Technology sub. I always considered the sub to be slow, kind of fat sounding, not responding the way I wanted. Even though not my ultimate subwoofer -a replacement will be around next year to take the whole new rig to same quality- the cable upgrade from speaker thick gauge braided runs to this solid one, made a difference as I described. The sub could give more, and it was not giving it because of former cables. I am happy about the upgrade. It is an obvious change. The kind of change U notice when u do not expect, when listening casually and finding a little smile in your face as evidence of a new surprising bass note U never got out of your sub before. If another cable by the competition at a similar price will do better, I cannot tell. I put AQ solids to all my speakers, and I like the natural crisp sound. And natural and crisp not always come together. In my new sub, I think the cable will show even more of...well, nothing in fact, which is what I want! If solid is better than braided, I cannot tell. But I wanted to believe..:-)

Buen apantallamiento
