My dog loves these! We had tried Greenies in the past but she didn't seem to like them. Then I found these in our local pet store and decided to give them a try and she loved them. She's so excited every time we give her one. The vet asked what we give her for dental chews and we told her, she said they are good and help a great deal with keeping plaque down on teeth. They smell good, they taste good (from what I can tell from my excited dog!), and they contain good ingredients that actually help.

I’m pretty vigilant about keeping my dogs’ teeth clean. They get chews frequently, and i use my scaler, dog toothbrush and dog dental gel to get rid of the plaque. Still, they do sometimes get a bit of doggy breath. Nothing like dogs with icky teeth get, but when they sleep next to you, you want their breath as good as possible, right? Enter these little gems. They chew up quite nicely, and the dogs really seem to love the flavor. They make a nice difference in their breath, although I’m not sure the effect lasts very long. It’s a nice addition to their dental care routine. Because of the cost, I try to get them on sale and give them just a couple of times a week.

We have a routine. Each rescue hound gets a Merrick Fresh Kiss bone after they eat their meal. I’ve tried other brands, but these are our choice. I like the healthier ingredients. They love the taste. My only issue is the cost. They remain fresh because of the bag they are sealed in (which zips back closed). I haven’t tasted them myself, but they have a pleasant aroma of mint. Gabby and Becca love these so much, they seem so sad if I run out, and will coming running if I say “come get your bone!”

These have worked wonders for my Pitbull type dog and my doxie! I am giving 4 stars because I wish they had more than 16 in a box for the larger dogs. Both of my pups are adopted and had less than stellar teeth. My pibble has skin/allergy issues too so this Potato and grain free formula has helped a TON the other brand we used was causing him to lose his hair and get rashes. My doxie had a lot of black build up on his teeth and after using these for about 2 weeks it's close to 90% gone. I give them to my dogs either after breakfast or after dinner everyday and after reading some of these comments I am surprised someone would give these to their dogs without feeding them first that's usually why they would make your dog sick.

I buy these all the time my dog absolutely loves them. Merrick is a great company. They don’t change their recipes, which is definitely a plus I just wanna know where the pumpkin one went. My dog loved the pumpkin.

They smell great. The first time we got them, I took a teensy nibble just to see if they taste anything like they smell and I was quite impressed! Other than something made at home (where you 100% know all the ingredients), these seem like an excellent tasting dog treat!... Note I'm not suggesting these treats are for human consumption. We have two Labrador Retrievers (male ~100lbs, female ~80lbs--big Labs, athletic build). We but the large sized option. I typically break the "double-ended toothbrush" treats in half-ish. They can't easily be broken in half, so I give the slightly bigger side to our boy or whoever sits first 😉. Our dogs love them and they freshen their breath for a little while, but we use them as "treats," for sure...Not as a dental health tool. We have them on auto-delivery from Amazon now in effort not to run-out. They're usually less expensive here than at the local pet store. We often bring them as gift-treats to friends/families homes who have dogs too; everyone seems to be big fans!

We've been using these for years with our 75 pound rescue mix. It's the last thing he gets for the day and keeps his teeth clean overnight. He just turned 12 and his teeth are in great shape.

My dogs go bananas for these. It doesn’t replace toothbrushing, but it does improve their breath. It’s a high-value treat in our household, reserved for after bathing or toenail trims, or any time I need to bribe my dogs lol.
