This I’d a book a would definitively recommend if you are starting in the world of fashion sustainability end want to understand or know about the subject.

Incredible read and very informative. A MUST for anyone interested in fashion. We have responsibilities to the earth and to each other that can no longer be ignored.

Learned so much more from reading this book than my teacher could ever tell me. Will hang onto this for future reference.

Assigned text book for my sustainability class, and this book really does shed a light on how our society has quickly adapted to the "Gotta have it now" phase. This book lays out the cause and effect of the choices we make, the clothing we take advantage off, and how much we consume when laundering our garments.

Important topic, well written.

What a great book for a Textiles teacher and students alike. It is set out in three sensible sections so that you can clearly see what each topic is and what is contained within. I also liked the way that there is some focus on what actions an individual can take as opposed to just dealing with the actions of designers and large organisations. There is a good mixture of informative text and applicable diagrams and photos. I recommend this book to those who want to know more about fashion and how it is linked to sustainability.

This is a practical, well-researched and thoughtful guide to making better fashion products -- from the impacts of raw material selection, to the variety of finishing techniques and other inputs, to how we think about product design and its use and eventual disposal. This is a must-read for fashion designers who want to design better product that has less of an impact on the planet, as well as anyone in the apparel sector that has an interest in sustainable apparel and its lifecycle. Kate Fletcher and Lynda Grose have done a masterful job of compiling best practices, words of wisdom and detailed fashion experience in this interesting and useful read.

Working with sustainability in fashion and textiles, Fletcher's books (this and the preceding Sustainable Fashion & Textiles) provide an excellent overview of how sustainability can be approached, focusing on materials as well as labor conditions.
