It is sharp but sort of makes a mess if you aren't careful. It works well on scallions. So-so on celery.All in all it helps when trying to cut this strips of scallions... price was right and free shipping -- thoughtI'd try it.

A complete waste of money. The blades are not sharp Enough, I don't know what I was thinking, even if they were sharp this would be very time consuming

Purchased this tool to make pretty garnishments for platters but it does not cut properly. You have to really press down, and even then it shreds the onion.
