Great item. Searched for one for a long time. Works great.

If you're trying to protect your Oreo stash from the toddlers, then this will work just fine on a kitchen cabinet door. On the other hand, if you seriously want a supplemental lock for an exterior door on your home to prevent unwanted entry you must choose another product. The metal is thin. The provided fastener screws are short and tiny making them useless. The lock itself is quite small. Overall, I think it's an expensive item for what you get. Bottom line: This is just not a substantial lock and I find it ineffective from the standpoint of security purposes. On the other hand, if you want the lock for an interior door or cabinet it will likely work for you after you replace the fasteners with better hardware.

Very cheap screws. Go to the hardware store and get different screws before they break off into your door.

Needed this to stop my cats from opening a sliding a pocket door tosleep in my tv room. It worked , went in easy (small screws) and hasnot broken after repeated use. Not intended for real security by any means.

I have an inward swinging backdoor. I purchased 3 locks ... this third one actually worked.

Quality and price

We've tried 3 other styles of locks to try to keep our 5yr old son out of our bedroom and basement, but he has managed to use enough force to break those off the doors. We've finally found the perfect match for his strength!!The only thing I have to add, is it's much easier to install with two people (4 hands), because if you don't have it lined up just right, the latch won't close (as you can see in the 2nd picture, we had to move the main piece up a bit more from where we originally put it on).Also note you may need to place it in reverse depending on the door frame (as you can see in both photos, they're set up opposite than each other).Overall, a fantastic product and I highly recommend it!

古い実家のトイレの扉のアップデート目的で購入した。元々は真鍮製のアオリ止めタイプだったけど、非常時に外からの開錠が難しいことを問題視していた。DIY工事で取り付けました。 扉と柱との間に数ミリの隙間ができるようにしました。スキマから平らな定規みたいなのを突っ込んで鍵を引き上げれば緊急時の開錠は出来ると思う。不満点は、裏面にカシめたシャフトが出っ張っていて平らでないこと。 ココで☆マイナス１個扉に凹みを作るか、平面部分を嵩上げの追加工が必要と思う。　（自分は嵩上げして取り付けた。）引き戸のカギは選択肢が少ないと思う。 作りがシンプルで古家のDIYアップデートなら十分と思う。
