Good service, and good sound direction
I received both right and left amplifiers a little over a week ago, for the first two days all was fine then the left one quit working I contacted the seller on Friday and they sent out a new one which I received the following Tuesday VERY GOOD SERVICE.But the real reason I bought these was because of where the microphone is placed - in the ear canal . I had a pair of "behind the ear" amplifiers and one day I was walking down a country road and stopped to look at a fountain and listen to the water falling, when I turned to leave the sound of the water went way up so I turned back and the sound volume went down. This I figured out was because the microphone was behind my ear so the sounds behind me were louder then those in front of me, this is why hearing aids are so bad in restaurants and bars, you hear more of what is behind you than in front of you. These ITC amplifiers seem to cure that problem , I'll know more in the next few weeks.GerryMay 11I have now had these little amplifiers for about six weeks and I am still very pleased with them. Two of the things I like most are 1) when in a room with a lot of people I have no problem listening to one person speak without being drowned out by a lot of background noise and 2) I'm a wildlife photographer so now when I hear a bird in a tree I can zero in on the sound and find the bird , I could not do this with the behind the ear amplifiers .

You get what you pay for
This is a 'Popular' Hearing Aid, meaning that it isn't fitted to anyone's individual needs, and especially not to anyone's Ear-Canal shape. The main problem with such Aids is that, at least in my case, it felt like an uncomfortable foreign object in my ear. Others might be luckier in that respect. The other serious issue is the difficulty in controlling the volume and Program (Frequency Bands) via this tiny, hard-to-reach button. The ability to reach and press this button depends on One's Ear's shape. In my case, I could barely reach this button and it took me many trials to set it for my needs via this button. And once I manage to make these settings, wear it for awhile, and then dismount and disconnect the battery, ALL MY SETTINGS ARE GONE --- and this is REALLY frustrating because I'd have to start from scratch the next time.Bottom line: Picking a single or a pair of these aids that fits one's needs is a matter of luck. You might need to return and replace with another version of the same, probably MORE than once, and that will COST you the trouble of delivering it back to the Seller.

Don’t buy unless you want things getting stuck in your ear.
I have been using another hearing aid but it seems that company is out of business so I bought these to replace my other ones. I bought the right and left.It should be noted these are NOT hearing aids but rather amplifiers. When I received them I used the right side. I put it in my ear but could not get the squealing to stop except on the lowest volume setting. I took it out and put a larger bud on it and tried again. It still squealed so I took it back out only to find the bud was stuck inside my ear. I had to have my girlfriend help me to remove it.I verified that I put it on correctly but even the lightest tug on the bud would cause it to come off. I tried other buds and they were all the same.I have not even looked or opened the left side since I believe the same problem will occur. On another note. In the few minutes I did use the right side (between the squealing) the sound was not good for noise cancelling and just amplified every noise so conversation just blended in with noise background.Needless to say I will be sending these back as I just cannot risk having a bud getting stuck in my ear again.

Subpar noise cancellation
I have borderline high-frequency hearing loss which causes issues hearing people in restaurants, bars, or other crowded, enclosed spaces. My audiologist suggested a hearing amplifier with noise cancellation, rather than expensive, professional hearing aid, would suit my needs for now. Thus, this hearing amplifier had one job: noise cancellation. It failed. There are three modes on this device: normal situations, noisy situations which provides noise cancellation, and another mode for quiet situations. You have to press and hold the button to cycle between the modes. Personally, I found this cycling through the modes to be inconvenient, but ymmv. I got this primarily to use in mode #2: noise cancellation and that's where the trouble came.Technically it worked, I guess, but it was really odd. I found I could perfectly hear conversations between people at other tables, but I could not hear the conversation at my table. Seriously. I was still saying "Huh?" and angling my head toward people at my table, but I could hear with crystal clarity all about the post-dinner plans of the young couple two tables down. Could have lived without that.Ultimately this failed to do the one thing I wanted it to do: dampen sounds around me in noisy situations and enable me to participate in conversations.

excellent!
I have bad hearing, for my ear, this device provides what I needed. It is very small and I have had the ear cap get stuck in my ear. But that is not a product error, its just my ear size. The company did an awesome job sending out extra ear caps and even offered another unit for me to try free of charge. They went above and beyond customer service. This item has a good volume output, takes regular size batteries easy to find and has some neat settings that you actually can tell the difference in. The one button control for volume and settings is wonderful and easy to use. I have really enjoyed using this!

I didn't like them
I did not like these, it didn't fit comfortably and it was too easy to get feedback with it. I tried all the ear tips but it still didn't fit nice for me. the sound quality was meh. it just amplified noise, everything was just louder but it seemed to mostly amplify sounds I didn't want to hear. flip flops in the garage? loud as F.... it just didn't work for me. I returned them.
