HB4-3200 USB 3.0 4-Port Hub with Smart Charging Ports

Met my expectations and loved the fast charging port for my Iphone. Works great!

I have a Samsung S5 which I tether to my laptop all day. I need to charge the phone while it is attached. I was attracted to this unit because it has a fast charge port.Unfortunately, it turns out the fast charge port is not connected to the hub. It is an independent charging port, you cannot connect to your computer through the charge port.Well, OK, says I, perhaps it will at least charge my phone while attached to one of the hub ports. Not so: as I write this I am looking at my phone which I attached a few hours ago. It had an 89% charge on it when I attached it, and now is down to 84%. In other words, my phone is actually discharging while attached to the powered hub. Not at all what I was looking for.Another problem, upon opening the box, I did not find any documentation. At all. A minor point, but one expects at least minimal documentation.I am sending this one back. I have no idea why others are giving rave reviews to a hub that discharges equipment attached to it, but to each his own.

I got it to charge my 7" WinBook tablet, and sometimes, my iPhone 5 when traveling. It worked for the iPhone, but not for the WinBook (draws 2.0 A, well within the spec).It worked for 2 weeks but after I plugged in my tablet, the USB charging port stopped working. Tried different devices, different cords, everything. The power port just stopped working. Submitted for an RMA and was about ship it back when I tried again and it worked. A few days later, it went out again but worked again after I let it "rest". I gave up and just kept the product since it was more of a hassle to return. I just use as hub now with the occasionally phone charging.NOTE: It charges my iPhone without problem. For me, this product simply would not charge my tablet even thought my iPhone adapter, with a lower Amp output rating, can.

I purchased two of these and loved them at first. However, since my purchase, one by one the ports have gone dead. Two different devices, same result. Very disappointing!

Used it a little less than a year & the charging port gave up on me.If you are planning to use it as USB hub only, it should be fine. All the 3.0 ports on mine still works. It's just the charging port that is dead after 11 months of charging.

Works ok, but will not power up all USB mini drives. Only one of two can pull enough power from this hub to operate. Not thrilled but not worth returning.
