The spec sheet says 3.2 vdc, is this right since some say they are hitting it with 24vdc.

I don't know about 24V but personally I run it at 12V and it runs fine. Where do you find a driver with 3.2 VDC anyway?

Yes, that is the driver I use with thi s motor.

I'm not sure. Steppers are more usually used for precise movements than for speed, and the maximum speed most mostly reflects the maximum frequency and minimum microstep ratio of the driver. I doubt it exceeds 1000 rpm, if that high.

I am planning on using this to move 100 lbs down a rack pinion track while supporting the weight with bearing carriages on rails. Will this do that?

You need to know your desired maximum acceleration, static and dynamic friction and gear ratio. Or find some way of estimating it from similar applications you can find data for, or ask on reddit :)
