A Grill So Good My Wife Retired From Cooking
I absolutely love my Traeger Pro 22 Wood Pellet Grill & Smoker. This thing has completely changed the way we cook at home โ the flavor, the consistency, the ease of use, everything. It fires up quickly, holds temperature perfectly, and turns out restaurantโquality food without any fuss. The smoke flavor is incredible, and the versatility is unreal: ribs, chicken, pizza, brisket, you name it. Ever since I got this Traeger, my wife hasnโt had to cook a single meal โ I actually want to be outside making dinner every night. Itโs one of the best purchases Iโve ever made.

Phenomenal, compact pellet grill. Why didn't I get this sooner?
Iโve been using the Traeger Pro 22 for a while now, and it has completely changed my backyard cooking game. So far, smoking meat is basically all I've used it for, and it has absolutely delivered. Here is a breakdown of why this grill is an absolute winner: * *Compact Yet Surprisingly Spacious:* Itโs incredibly nice and compact. It doesn't dominate my entire patio space, yet the cooking capacity is impressive. It is easily large enough to fit three full racks of ribsโwhether you are doing baby back or St. Louis styleโand roughly 12 large chicken breasts all at once. * *Easy Assembly:* Out of the box, it was remarkably easy to install and mount everything together. The instructions were straightforward, and the parts fit perfectly without any headache. * *Great Hopper Capacity:* The pellet hopper is a really practical size. It perfectly fits just about exactly a half a bag of any standard Costco pellet bag (around 18-20 lbs), which is plenty of fuel for long cooks. * *Rock-Solid Stability:* Aside from the low-and-slow performance, the heavy-duty sawhorse chassis and wheels are incredibly sturdy. It feels robustly built and is super easy to roll around on the patio whenever I need to reposition it. * *Dead-On Temperature Control:* In my experience, the temperature control is quite accurate to within 10ยฐF of the set point. It handles the regulation beautifully. When you switch it over to the "Smoke" option, it keeps the smoke right in that perfect sweet spot of roughly 180ยฐF to 195ยฐF. * *Fast Heat-Up:* It gets up to your target temperature really quicklyโusually within 15 minutes of firing it up. * *Versatile Grilling Option:* Even though I mostly use it as a smoker, it even has a high-heat grill option. Whenever I want to throw some burgers on there, I just set the temperature to 450ยฐF and it gives them a fantastic wood-fired flavor with a great sear. I highly recommend a liner as well to protect the base. If you want the unbeatable flavor of wood-fired food without the massive footprint or hassle of a giant rig, you honestly cannot go wrong with this machine. Highly recommended!

Best investment Iโve made
Bought for my partner as our first house gift. Splurged a little more than I originally planned with this grill and Iโm so happy I did! Burgers, hot dogs but personally my favorite so far is salmon! He assembled it by himself (by choice) and it went well! The quality is fantastic and worth the price!

Unbelievable quality any more than fair price this truly is a quality Grill
Until now, Traeger grills we're not a brand I was familiar with. But since my smoker died a few years ago from disintegration , I wasn't sure what I wanted to get another grill smoker. But I got sick and found out that I have a bit of a expiration date and remembered how much joy I got from cooking out on the grill, so I looked on Amazon. Now you can say it's a God thing, or Flash sale, or maybe both, but I found this model Pro 20 model, the one without the Wi-Fi probe, for an incredibly low price. In fact, the cover for the grill was over half of what I paid for the actual Grill . But I'm not complaining. Pro tip: don't do like I did, which was use the chips I had from my old smoker. I know that they suggested using the Traeger products, but I mistakenly thought they were just trying to sell their product. Unfortunately, when I used what I used on my previous smoker, it wasn't actually chips, they're more like shavings and I jammed the auger up something awful. It was to the point where I was watching YouTube videos to see how I have to take it apart. But then I ordered some Traeger pellets and thought I'd give it a try and see if they'd just push out my stuff that I put in the beginning. I removed most of that out by hand, then put the pellets from Traeger in. I had to re-cycle it more than a few times because the last thing I wanted to do was take this thing apart. I'm updating to add that their pellet delivery system is so efficient that the wood pellets last a long time! The photos show the delicious lamb kebabs that we'll be enjoying for supper this evening. I love that I can put the vegetables, the meats and the side dishes in all at once. And while I'm not following the Traeger recipe, that's only because I want to smoke everything and give it that smoky flavor. Anyway, I noticed the quality of the unit as I was assembling it. Their attention to detail is amazing. Anybody who has ever assembled anything before knows that most of the time Engineers pay no attention to whether the Allen wrench is going to bang up against the side so you can't turn it 360ยฐ, or they'll put a nut in some place where no matter what tool you have, it's a bear to get in. Not with this Traeger grills. It is clear that people actually use it have a lot of input and I ran into none of those issues. Looking at the quality of the metals that are involved, that's not cheap bendable crap steel, it doesn't wobble, it doesn't wiggle. And I love the copper addition in the front with its embossing. It just adds another layer of class on top of that black grill. I'm not sure what the word limit is, but trust me I could go on for a long time. Suffice it to say, in 70 plus years, I've had more than a few grills, and some of them very expensive and supposedly very good quality, but there isn't one of them that holds a candle to this Traeger grill that I got. And I didn't need to get the Wi-Fi probe, because my old smoker had four Wi-Fi probes and a control unit, which I kept when the grill bit the dust, so I've got Wi-Fi probes without paying the extra money. You won't regret buying this Grill. I almost forgot to mention how efficient the pellet delivery system is, in that it only delivers the amount of product needed at that specific time. I only use a fraction of smoker pellets compared to what I used to use in my old smoker. A single 20 lb bag less an incredible amount of time. I do like to use different Woods, and keeping a bunch of bags that size on the porch is prohibitive. What I've done is to purchase a storage bin combination French unit and put dividers in to carry a reasonable amount of each type of wood pellet I use. When I finish it, I will add photos of the completed bench storage unit.

You will not be disappointed!
This product is TOTALLY worth its cost in gold! Ive made 2 briskets in the same week and they came out perfectly tender and delicious! I most definitely recommend this brand and product. And thats cause ive never smoked a brisket before this smoker. N9t difficult at all to put together. Smoke is perfect at the correct temperature. It is a bit heavy but I dont plan on moving it much. True quality and craftsmanship

Best Fatherโs Day gift.
This was my husbandโs early Fatherโs Day gift. The grill came without dents which I know many people complained about. Upon delivery UPS was extremely rough with it though so we inspected it thoroughly after. So far after 5 uses and a 16 hour pork roast smoke, the grill is working phenomenal. Assembly was easy but took a while and is bigger than what I expected it to be. After the 16 hour smoke there was still plenty of pellets of the 20 lbs bag we bought left to grill something afterwards. We only bought two 20 pounds bags of pellets this whole time. The thermometer the grill comes with is not accurate as it was 10 degrees off. My husband loves it and my belly has been full ever since. Donโt forget to burn off manufacturer oil before your first cook! We did an hour on high be sure to keep an eye on pellets at that time.

Defective! Does not work at 375 degrees, above or below are ok... sometimes
I had my last treager for for about 10 years, it was just awesome! I have had this one for not quite 3 months and it has a few defects, you cannot use the 375 degree setting. It's an obvious defect and I hope Treager gets sued since their customer support wants to blame me. - It is VERY SLOW to come to temp. Taking up to 45 minutes sometimes. - It will not work at 375 degrees, it dies out if you try. I have a friend that reports the same issue and I am sure that there are more of you with the same issue. I wish he had told me this, I would not have bought it. 350 good, High good, but if you linger on 375, it dies and you have to start over. - Customer support says it's my fault, I need to clean out the fire box and outside the fire box EVERY TIME I use it. Are you serious! I have NEVER had to do that before. I usually clean it once every 8 to 10 times I use it. So once every 2 weeks. This new machine is defective crap, after my experience with their customer support, I will not be recommending or buying another one. BTW, the old one was solid. I wish I still had it, but it was rusting out. Update... Still struggling with this thing. I am trying to cook steaks, first time I started it, it came to temp and I turned it to 250, it started dying. Turned it off and on again, came past starting temp by a lot, then set it to 350. Came up to temp and I put the steaks on. Now its back down to 304. This has to be the WORST pellet grill ever. I don't think I will be buying another. We are considering selling this one and buying another brand. I think that Traeger has lost their quality or this is a lemon, I can't trust it to cook anything for a long period of time, I am afraid it will go out. I used to love these grills, now I wish I didn't buy it.

Great product, but dont trust the temperature sensors.
I bought this on a black Friday sale in 2024 and didn't even put it together until May 2026. The assembly was minimal, and although it repeatedly says 2 people are needed, I am a big guy and did not have a problem doing it myself. Assembly is just installing the legs, handles, and chimney. The bad part is that the temp sensors are not accurate at all, and both read much higher than actual temperature. This leads to very long cooks, resulting in undercooked food. No problem after learning how it works, I just know to set it higher than I normally would (brisket or pork butt at 275 or 300 or it will take 2 days LOL). Overall good, but it came with a definite learning curve. I just spent $236 on a Thermoworks RFX, hopefully that will give me better results.

Great Smoker --- Repeat Customer
I bought the smaller version of this smoker 12 years ago. It was stored outside under a cover and made it through the tough Canadian Winters. 12 years of service is excellent and so when I wanted a new one I only looked at Traeger. I bought this slightly bigger one as I liked the sale price, Bronze Lid, chimney and additional features. The Amazon delivery guy delivered it right to my deck. Assembly was pretty easy and directions were excellent. I followed the seasoning procedure which is a good idea to ensure that all is working correctly. For my first smoke on the new smoker I am doing ribs, wings and chicken. Smoker works great staying at the precise temperature I set it to. Highly recommend.
