This robot is great, providing you understand what it is you are buying. Firstly, let me say that the 380t is not the same as the one currently being advertised as 'floor mopping robot' that Amazon are selling themselves under Prime. That one is the 380, which notably doesn't come with the expanded battery and the charging dock. I also got my 380t for 250gbp from elsewhere - this price currently seems a bit steep.I ummed and arred a lot about whether to get a scooba or a braava, and in the end settled for this. it seemed to me that the scooba was less reliable, had quite a small range of operation (300sq feet only) and was probably overkill for most people's floor. It was also reviewed less well. Sure the braava won't scrub the floors as such, but it will wipe them with a wet cloth, which for most floors is enough, especially when done often enough. The northstar cube sounds like a faff but actually it's dead easy - just place it somewhere that it can point at the ceiling - it doesn't seem to be too fussy where it is. With that in place the braava seems to be able to navigate reliably to every part of the room. The wet cloth action is good, and after pulling the cloth tight enough onto the pro clean head, i could get the moisture flowing reliably. It will want to be a hoovered floor, otherwise you'll push mess around, but I found it is very methodical and covers all areas. It's a shame it can't get over a very small brass 'riser' that i have between two different hard floor types, as then it could do more than one room at a time, but the cloth gets pretty dirty anyway and it's not hard to move from room to room.Overall very happy - this is a simple device that does what it does well. not many moving parts to go wrong (only wheels) and this is proven in its high reviews score.
