Works well in my light aircraft, very light on the head, for longish journeys

Stopped working/low quality
This product is supposed to last for many years. 3 months after my purchase, during pushback operations, I did not realize the ground crew was asking for the parking brake. Then I noticed the headset suddenly started with a terrible bad contact, and does not work anymore. The case is too small for the headset and the material is poor. typical Chinese material. In addition it has a terrible intermittent background noise when used in the Boeing 737. I do not recommend any pilot to invest in these headsets.

Compact and easy to use
I’m a student pilot and have spent half my course reliant on the headsets at my flight school. Have always lusted for A20’s or Lightspeed ANR headsets - I was told about UFQ’s from a friend in the States so ordered a set. Since delivery I have used them over three flight hours and now cannot believe how I managed before! The ANR function means I can never go back to a traditional set. The only negative is that the carry case is a bit small. Midlife PPL SE UK

Perfectly acceptable
For the price, I found these to be perfectly acceptable and would recommend to anyone on a budget. Noise cancelling is pretty good, ear pieces are comfortable, mic and speakers are clear. Connecting to a phone is only slightly awkward, but still effective. No actual problems with these at all. Finally an American product that's actually worth the money.

UFQ A7 ANR Headset
This headset is a great product it is ultra quiet and very comfortable and the sound quality is fantastic so much for my likes not for my dislikes I found that the activation when talking lags a little but being the only one I have ever uses I guess it could be similar with $1800 units just giving the mike a short word and all is great, Best part is I saved $1500 buying this headset I am definitely not disappointed, others at my flight school are also ready to buy including some of the staff. Happy flying:)

Cheap, but I like it!
If you're looking for a low-cost ANR headset comparable to a good PNR headset, this is the one for you! I have used this headset for about 6 months now while flight training for my private pilot's license (in a Cessna 172). It's lightweight, has decent audio quality, and the ANR works. Of course, when compared to the industry-leading BOSE or LIGHTSPEED ANR headsets or a David Clark PNR headset, the UFQ A7 lacks in quality. It is less durable, and has a few quirks. Its strengths: 1. First and foremost, the ANR is actually quite good. It primarily filters out low frequency noise. I think the noise cancellation is similar to that of a David Clark PNR headset, without the weight or bulk of a PNR headset. 2. Its audio sound quality is surprisingly good. It has a great frequency range for music, voice audio is loud and intelligible. 3. It has two volume sliders, one for each ear. Moving the slider down will decrease the headset audio while simultaneously increasing the aux-in (music) audio from the provided 3.5mm cord. 4. The microphone picks up my voice well even in lots of background noise. 5. The headset is quite lightweight, meaning it does not weigh on my head much and doesn't leave me feeling sore after a 2-hour flight. 6. It is very adjustable and fits my small head. The mic is also easy to position to where its needed. Now, about the quirks: 1. It seems that the left and right ears are swapped on my headset, a little odd, but I can live with it. 2. The volume sliders don't seem to have the best contact. Audio occasionally fades or stops in one of the ears and I have to move the volume slider to fix it. This mainly happens when I move a slider. 3. Just a personal opinion, but the 3.5mm aux cable could be a little higher quality. It seems quite cheaply made, but I suppose you get what you pay for. 4. The ear pads could fit a little tighter. If I turn my head right, some noise will leak in under the pads. Overall, I would still recommend this for new pilots who want a comfortable yet cheap headset. Also a great option if you want some spare passenger headsets.

Alles gut, gerne immer wieder..

Great headset, comfortable and quiet.
I had been using the Bose A20 in a Cessna CJ 3+, but my new assignment to a straight CJ3 required me to purchase a new headset. While the Bose A20 was a great headset, I decided to give the UFQ A7 a go, and I am very happy with this headset. On the plus side, this headset is noticeably lighter than the Bose, and is very comfortable to wear for long periods. While the noise cancelling may not be quite as good as the Bose, it works great and I have no complaints. After a day of use, I left the noise cancelling switch on when we left the airplane. We did not fly the next day, so that switch was on for more than 40 hours straight. I continued to use the headset for another 5 days of flying, and the batteries are still doing the job. The volume control takes 2 AA batteries. The volume control works well, and has both a stereo and a mono setting. In the airplane I was flying, the stereo position only sent reception to one earpiece, but that was fixed by selecting the mono position which worked great. The included bluetooth device works well, it paired to my iPhone without problem, I was able to make phone calls or listen to AWOS via a phone number, or Pandora. The bluetooth device is plugged into the volume control using a 1/8" jack, see picture. While not as clean as the integral bluetooth on the Bose, it does work. One small issue that I haven't figured out yet is the sidetone volume, but this is perhaps a problem with the airplane audio panel and not the headset. When I transmit, the volume of my transmission is roughly the same as my reception volume, rather than the normal softer volume. I find this somewhat annoying, as I can't differentiate between my transmission and my intercom, so I don't get the confirmation that my transmission is going out, vs staying within the intercom. Overall however, I am very happy with this headset.

Great Value Aviation Headset
Funny how good these are for the price. The noise cancelling is excellent, they are comfortable, light weight, and the audio is clear. The auxiliary audio input works well but does lack some volume and makes music somewhat faint while flying. This is OK, however, given that rocking out too much while flying may not be the safest decision. I'd say the volume is just right for safe flying. Coms and radio audio, however, is great. The headset is not quite as robust as other products, however this comes as no surprise to me based on the price point. However, it does come with a nice case. If taken care of, I expect this headset to offer plenty of longevity. Thank you UFQ for providing an affordable active noise cancelling headset! I hope someday you build a headset with built in bluetooth for music and phone calls.
