EternaBond WebSeal White 6" x50' MicroSealant Woven Polyester Tape | 23 mil Total Thickness | EB-WB060-50R - Reinforced Fabric for Roof Sealing and Repair

I tore two holes in my camper roof, through the rubber sheet and digging in to the plywood. One was about 8 ft long and the other about 6 ft. I also had holes along the rounded edge of the roof. Yeah, bad news. Also, I did this on the very first trip with a brand new camper. I thought about dousing it in gasoline and lighting it on fire and claiming the insurance money and going back to tent camping, but instead, I did a lot of research and settled on trying Eternabond WebSeal to fix it instead. Spoiler Alert: This was a very good decision. The edges of the torn roofing were stretched and "frilly" so I cut the rubber off around the tear until it would lie flat, leaving 1-to-2-inch-wide-by-6-to-8-ft long gaping holes in the rubber. Following the manufacturer's instructions, I cleaned the rubber around the holes using Borax, a little water, and a scrub brush--it turned sterling white again! Then I cleaned up the plywood shreds for a good sticky seal. I cut 2-to-3-ft lengths of the WebSeal and followed the instructions for applying it using a  Speedball Deluxe 4-Inch Hard Rubber Brayer . Boy oh boy does this stuff stick. I tried to peel up a corner just to see if I could; it's not possible without destroying the WebSeal. I covered the holes and then doubled down, covering the WebSeal with two more pieces of WebSeal, each overlapping half way, creating about 6 full inches of contact with the roof. I also wrapped the WebSeal over the rounded edge of the roof in a couple of places; it is perfectly pliable and worked great. Finally, since this product has a somewhat absorbent outer layer, I used a smooth paint roller with  Heng's 461284 Rubber Roof Coating - 1 Gallon  and over three days put down three coats of rubber roof coating. We've had some crazy rain storms, and I've driven many highway miles since I did this. I've had no leaks and it looks the same as the day I finished the job. I cut a few 4x6" pieces of it and put them in a zipper-lock bag and now keep them in the toolbox in case I do something stupid...again. All in all, I could not be happier with this product. Now, let's see how long it lasts.One thing to note: If you are going to cover the EternaBond patch tape with rubber roof coating, this is your stuff. I talked to the helpful people at EternaBond (excellent customer service!) before buying this and they told me that the patch tape of theirs with the slick, colored coating (EternaBond Roof Seal) on the outside is not as good for going over with roll-on rubber. Eventually, the rubber coating will release from the slick coating of the tape. I'm not an expert, but I don't think the Roof Seal would be as good for going over the rolled edge of the roof, either, because it is a little stiffer (their customer service dept didn't tell me this; I'm just supposing.)

I have used this for many years. 8 years ago, I sealed the seams of my aluminum insulated roof. I took a 4 inch roll, cut it down the middle and used two inches for this purpose. Recently and ONLY because an area I had not sealed in the past started leaking....I sealed those using the 4 inch width. The original 2" width ones I placed 8 years ago were still intact (you really can't get it off once it touches the surface to be sealed) and I was truly amazed that the ONLY thing I noticed were a couple of areas that had separated from the roof BUT that was because I was unaware that this stuff does not stick to existing silicone sealant and those are the areas that were not adhering. I decided to re-do all the seams...so I used the 4-nch width and went completely over the existing 2" one making sure the edges extended 1 inch past the existing on each side. WOW did it look nice. and sealed completely and getting outside the silicone was the trick. I love this stuff and it is well worth the price. I used the white simply because my aluminum porch roof is white. Just know that the area you are applying this to should be cleaned and dried. If you don't, debris may cause a breach.

We had a leak in our mobile home roof and I was worried we would need a whole new roof. I heard about EternaBond, my husband put it on the cracks on the roof and put sealer on top of it and it is now as good as new.

This stuff took a little getting used to using. It's a bit tricky to use because it's so sticky but it's sticky quality is why I bought it. I rehabed my aging rv roof that had one minor leak. After using the tape on all the seams and edges as well as a few tubes on dicor lap sealant I coated the roof with two gallons of dicor EPDM rubber roofing. The roof looks new now. One week later it rained and the roof is now water tight

Easy to use and sealed my rv roof perfectly. I need more and will definitely by this again. Just be sure if your planning on coating your roof to get this version. I purchased the white smooth finished 1 first not realizing it was for just resealing the edge of good roofs. This one has a cloth finish for your coating to bond to.

Eternabond is great stuff. Really sticks and for the long term. Sticks to just about anything including PVC and foam, concrete and sheetrock. The only issue is that the sticky part will ooze out from between the stored tape and stick to whatever it is stored in, like a plastic bag. Then when it is applied, the sticky part will show under the edge and where it was oozing out. If you use it up immediately, this is not a problem. But I like to have some around all the time for the RV or installing a door, or whatever.

I bought a used camper that had not been treated well. One side of the roof had a line where it had drug under something, a leak that led to the deck rotting where the satellite had gone through (by the radio antenna), issues with the transition from the front to the roof, and wanting to make sure a new skylight wasn't going to leak where some of the roof ripped removing the old one. This stuff did the job on sealing all the problem spots with plenty of support to get to where I knew the roof material was good, patched over a few smaller problem spots, with a few feet left over foven to a neighbor at the RV park who recoated his week a few weeks after I finished. It stuck securely to a black rubber roof, and the silicone coating I put over it bonded firmly with the web mesh coating.

To repair my sister roof on her motor home . It work great.

Great product did seal well with no mess hopefully will stand the test of time and the elements.

Although very expensive for a “tape” it works wonders! I have bought 2 rolls and did all of my RV, no leaks after 2 years. I’m a happy camper.. get it!?

We used this on our trailer roof seem when it had a leak, and we haven't had any leaks since! It works great!
