True Comfort At Last!
I have foot pain related to a callous on the ball of my right foot. I bought these because they are the same pad my podiatrist uses. I trimmed each down a bit on the edges just as he does. It works perfectly. Note the pad is not applied to the calloused area itself but below it, allowing me to bypass the painful area as I walk. My doc adhered the pad to the bottom of the innersole of my shoe, NOT to my foot. I need several pads on hand as I have several pairs of shoes. Sometimes the innersole of one shoe will also fit several other shoes. True comfort at last!

really thick
these are good. They adhere well and can be trimmed to size. They are a little thicker than I would like, which makes them impractical for anything other than my athletics shoes.

Useful but extremely sticky residue
These foot pads can be great for relieving foot pain do to over-stressed balls of feet, but are pretty much a one time use from what I experienced. The reason I knocked off a star is simply because they are incredibly sticky; and by that I mean that I had to scrub my feet with a loofa for several minutes after wearing one of these on my foot just to be able to walk around without picking up every loose hair or piece of dirt off the floor. I also tried putting one on a cheap flip flop that I wear often so that I didn't get it so stuck to my feet, but I ended up having to throw the shoes out because once removed from the shoe, the sticky residue never came off. Don't get me wrong, they work, and helped relieve some pressure in my feet, but the "pain" of removal was too much for me. I would recommend looking at the harder, more-easily removable foot pads instead if you wear different shoes often, but these would do.

Great pads!
I stick this right to my foot. It stays in place all day and lasts me a few days. It has really helped with the pain from my metatarsals!

absolutely perfect
the whole trick is finding where to put them....as others have said, you place just before the metatarsal heads, not directly beneath them.. you can practice where it should go on your shoe by pushing one up underneath your foot (aligning an edge parallel to metatarsals but further inward) and seeing if it makes the 'knuckles' spread. and the idea another had to put underneath the insole of the shoe is brilliant b/c it will protect insert from wear and make the upside of the insole perfectly smooth. have tried hapad ones but they are too narrow to do the job well. my podiatrist gave me disposable samples of this configuration and this was a perfect size and shape match and more durable.

Pads are not as pictured!
I purposely ordered these pads because of the description & specifically because of the raised metatarsal area, they are not as described.

Half as thick as claimed
Claims to be '1/4" Premium Felt' but I measure it as being 1/8" thick. Compared to the metatarsal pads my podiatrist gave me, these are the same size (aside from being thinner) but they are firmer.
