I really like this French press for camping because I can heat the water and brew the coffee in the same pot. I don’t need to bring a separate kettle or another vessel just to boil water, which saves both space and cleanup when I’m camping. The 32-ounce size is also convenient when I’m making coffee for more than one person, but I can see this being just as useful at home. The fine mesh press does a good job keeping coffee grounds out of the cup, which is a big plus for me. It’s simple to use, easy to pack, and eliminates the need for extra coffee-making equipment. For camping especially, being able to boil and brew in the same pot makes this much more useful than a standard French press.

Update. April 2026 Still going strong since the handles broke off. Almost a year after breaking off. Love my little press still! Works amazing for rice and noodles still and cooking food. Now have even made cocoa multiple times and still soup. Worth the money 100% Lasted for two years before my handle mount broke off. I SWEAR by my little press. have boiled milk, soup, chili anything you can heat in a pot and eat or drink and so on in this. Coffee is easiest to do. Just pour your water in and let it sit and bingo, great coffee less than 10 minutes later. I have also boiled water while camping, or just being lazy or during power outages, and I HAVE my coffee, while everyone else goes to coffee stands (BUT what happens when those coffee stands are out of power like when a whole peninsula looses power) .... I STILL HAVE my coffee The design is simple, still plunges great and has suction. Coffee doesn't stay hot for long though, thats a downfall. Compact enough. I have stuck in my packs and doesn't take up tons of space, and I like that its just two pieces minus the lid. I USE it daily. (I wrote this review about 9 months ago - still going strong with my press.) - Since I have drained my rice for cooking and also used as a strainer for Macaroni and cheese (while living off grid) and no dishes.

This is a genius all in one French press coffee pot. I only make one cup for myself every morning (although this pot was bigger than expected and nicer). I haven’t used it but once so far so I can’t comment how it will hold up. But the quality for the price is unmatched. It’s designed for camping so don’t expect something beautiful sitting on your countertop. It’s just the most functional French press coffee maker I’ve ever seen. I like the fact I don’t to worry about being careful not to break a glass pot. The only issue I have is that I paid $15 for it and liked it so much I wanted to order another one for a gift and in one week the price had gone up to $26. And there’s a Stanley price tag on the bottom that says $25. So is this some kind of “bait” product game Amazon is playing? It’s worth the $26 but just on principle alone, I won’t be buying another one for the higher price.

Quite impressed with this after trying it out. I filled water to the line as stated, heated the water, and added 1/2 cup of coffee grounds (I tried a 1/4 cup and 1/3 cup before going to 1/2 but they were too watery and I don't care for too strong of coffee). After pressing the screen in (5 minutes later), it didn't overspill and no coffee grinds came through. How flavorful! We were looking for something easy to clean, easy to make, and compact to store on our travels around the country (two of us). This works well. If I had anything negative to say, I wish they had the same thing for 40 ounces as we have Stanley 20 ounce mugs and this doesn't fill them up. We have to brew 1-1/2 pots. It's a little large for two 10-12 ounce ceramic mugs. The diameter is small as well and using it on a camp stove I can't turn the flame up to heat the water faster or the flame will go around the sides of the canister. Another reason the 40 ounce might help. Regardless, it's not a bad choice for a couple camping of hiking. If you put an insert at the bottom to protect the screen, you could store bagged coffee and a measuring cup inside for easy storage.

I bought this product to take with me camping. It worked well on my camping trip but now I find myself using this thing at home to because I am loving the French Pressed coffee so much. It is made of very sturdy material and is very durable. I love the fact that I can put it directly over an open flame. I highly recommend to anyone that loves French Pressed Coffee or is looking for a sturdy coffee maker for a campsite.

Finally had the opportunity to use while camping recently and I must say I love this little French Press. Coffee was smooth and rich. The screen keeps the grounds out of the finished product. I can put it directly into flame and it didn't even stain. The materials are high quality and strong. Water comes to temperature quickly and stays hot. Love the look of the stainless steel material.

It’s pure stainless steel and you’ll have no problem washing and cleaning. I’d say put it under fire by removing the sticker that’s under the coffee press. Put in heat/low heat after removing the sticker, I say put in fire to remove any type of stress from the steel or bacteria even if you washed or rinsed off. Gran prensa francesa, pero primero empezare por lo malo: El acero inoxidable es bueno pero no es tan bueno, es muy delgado, nada que ver con el set Camp Cook de Stanley, la primera vez que lo compre me llegó abollado, Amazon lo envió en una bolsa sin protección, tuve que pedir un reemplazo, por lo que te aconsejo pedir junto otra cosa mas, para que te lo envíen en caja. También me di cuenta que al no contar con una tapa de acero, es un poco tardado llegar al punto de ebullición, y mientras esta al fuego puede llegar a caer basurita de los árboles al agua. Lo bueno es que funciona muy bien como prensa francesa, no tuve ningún problema con lo que mencionaron otros compradores: el colador no dejó pasar granos de café a la taza, supongo que se debe al tamaño de la molida de los granos, también me lleve una grata sorpresa al darme cuenta que al colocar la tapa de plastico y el colador, se conserva muy bien el calor, se crea una especie de doble pared con el exterior y el plástico lo que hace que funcione como un thermo. Lo utilice también para hacer chocolate caliente y sin ningun problema.

I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of coffee this makes. Oftentimes, a French press can make the coffee a bit grainy, especially those that are more affordable. Not only was this a very reasonable price, but I love the strength and texture of the coffee it makes. I even use it at home instead of my regular coffee machine, just putting it directly on the stove top. It makes a good sized cup of coffee for how small and light it is, a great combination for camping or rv-ing. We use it as a simple kettle as well to make teas and hot chocolates. It holds up well to travel, and is easy to clean when you’re in the field.

Used today for the first time and it was great. Filtering was as expected, no sediment!
