I got this as a gift for my husband. He uses it for coffee and tea even though it's labeled as a food jar. The wide mouth makes it easier to clean than the regular thermos. It keeps beverages hot all day long and is very durable. Stanley also has a great warranty on their products and stands behind them. This thermos is actually a 1 qt capacity even though in the description it states a different size. The wide mouth thermos is a better size because it isn't so tall and is more stable so it doesn't look like your walking around with a gigantic thermos. It's perfect!

Just what I was expecting.I bought the coffee and food thermos. It’s a great product and bought it for my brother since it is a wonderful brand well known in Costa Rica. Update 08/19/2021 my brother told me that he filled up the coffee thermos with coffee at 8am and it was 2pm, for a picnic in one of the coldest locations in Costa Rica as a result the coffee Was extremely hot after 6 hours. Potentially it can last longer. Overall the thermos does the job as described and it’s one of the most popular brands that are known to last for many years.

1 quart food holder. Had it for 4 years now. No dents or scratches. Keeps my cold beverages cold for 24 hours plus. Does not leak. Works great on hot items as well. Be sure to preheat the canister before putting hot items in there. It has stood up to the promise even though it was made in China.

Got this for a 12 hour Cod and Haddock fishing trip- put a piping hot stew (straight from the pot into the thermos) around 10pm the night before our departure at 6am. Making sure the lid(s) were super duper tight. Opened it up around 8am to find that the stew wasn’t cold, or nearly as hot as when it was put in- it was just warm- to it’s credit it kept the stew somewhat warm for hours following though! Can’t be mad at it, but I wasn’t really thrilled with the results either. I still would get it again, and would recommend it to anyone who likes to bring hot food with them to places without food warming accommodations. 40 hours hot is not accurate at all, 16 hours warmish is more akin to the result I achieved.

With a towel wrapped around it in my backpack the soup stays steaming hot even with the temperatures of 25- 30 below zero as we explore the Alaskan wilderness........ I own several of these thermos's and the only problem has been that the plastic top/seal has blown off at unexpected times......Stanley has sent me new lids and replaced the whole thermos on a few occasions...... excellent customer service...... but the cause of the problem has never been found by me........ to mitigate it happening I make sure that the thermos is always upright in travel so that if the lid pops off it does not spill the contents.......

I take day trips and like to take my own food. The wide mouth makes it easy to fill and to pour food from. I have not had any problems over the last several months of usage. Love this thermos. It lives up to the Stanley reputation and is as described.

Kept my coffee hot for about 6 hours in 19-21 degree F weather. Build quality seems like it will hold up well over time.

Had one of these for work 20 years ago didn't have food instead I would put my drink in and add ice cubes by lunch it was still very cold just what I needed.

Es mi segundo termo de la marca Stanley y estoy muy satisfecho con mi compra. El único detalle es que es un poco complicado de limpiar, tube que comprar una escobilla especial para termos de lo contrario es todo un "Show” limpiarlo". La tapa es muy útil y se puede utilizar como plato. Mantiene la temperatura por casi 8 horas si el termo está "lleno". Si el termo está a la mitad de su capacidad la temperatura se conservará por menos tiempo (unas 2 o 3 horas en mi experiencia)

No se puede lavar bien, aparte la valvula de escape fea que tiene arruina la higiene del termo.
