These are unscented, so kind of (to me) smell of older buildings, it's quite nostalgic for me as it reminds me of visiting old places whilst on holiday.Yes, they seem to have shrunk since theyve been packed - this is a natuaral product without all those preservatives and all that's been lost is water content (which doesn't exactly make any difference as you'll be adding water to use the product, and need less product to get the same effect).You actually get a lot of soap despite the minimal shrinkage so I've cut each block into four to make them more hand friendly for us as they're quite bulky otherwise. I guess the size is ideal for general household cleaning? The lather is quite silky and doesn't seem to dry my skin out like most soaps, but doesn't leave a greasy 'mousturising' film either. I actually originally bought these to wash my hair with to try and reduce plastic waste, but as it's gentle on my skin I've replaced my cleanser and shaving foam with it too. Also use the one by the bath to put on a cloth to clean the bath and sink with immediately after getting out the bath, so saving on bottles of bathroom cleaner too. Not ideal that the soaps come wrapped in plastic, but the amount is tiny compared to the bottles of shampoo and cleanser it's replaced. Perhaps the plastic can be replaced with paper?

At first I thought it smelled like cowboy boots or fresh leather saddle, but no one else I said that to thought the same. No after smell except on the face with a new bar.Suds just fine with a cloth. Lasted me a while but I'm always conservative with soaps. It's rustic and sometimes smelly, but that's half the point. I won't stop using them, though they got really expensive so I'm also trying other brands with the same...branding stamp?... on them. They are about the same from my experience.I mainly like that it's a simple plain ingredient soap. I like to go to the core of each kind of product I want and not have all the niceties of perfect texture, foam, smell, etc. with extra additives.

Realmente és un javon totalmente natural deja piel suave y limpia sin dañarla ,un àtom muy suave a Laurel ,lo usamos para cuerpo y pelo para el pelo ( minimalismoy comodidad)recomiendo usar vinagre como acondicionador .Si lo usas correctamente una pastilla té puede durar mas de 2 meses ,nada de saxos de sisal manopla algodon de toalla solo deves frotar la pastilla en la manopla y luego pasar por el cuerpo ,una vez a la setmana se puede exfoliar con guante de sisal Todó esto es algo muy personal .nosotros usamos aceite de alme dras bio para hidratar d'espies de la ducha.

I have been purchasing Aleppo Soap from a few sellers on Amazon. Unfortunately most often disappointed with my purchase and questioned if the soaps that I purchased were authentic.Until I purchased this 25% Laurel soap. The quality is noticeable as soon as you open the package. It has an amazing aroma which I believe is from the Laurel oil. The soap is oily and moisturizing. I definitely recommend the product.
