Huge suitcase!
Outstanding case. Didn't have a suitcase and I wanted something I'd use more often than 'luggage.' This case as I ordered did not come with foam insert. Given the price it made a perfect suitcase for my 3 week trip to Varanasi, India. Now I also have a serious, large, heavy duty case for truck camping and road trips. Also something to toss all my 'outdoor' gear into rather than a back pack or duffel bags. Flew 6 flights round trip to India and back---wasn't charged for oversize luggage even though I believe it is just slight above the allotted measurements. If I recall correctly the case weighs 21 pounds---so that allows for another 28-29 pounds of stuff to be packed before being charged an extra $200 for a bag over 50 pounds.

Airport baggage handlers are no match for this case.
This case is incredibly durable. Just outfitted to transport 50 lbs. of industrial control system equipment from Florida to Australia, having to transfer bags 3 times. The airport crew tried real hard to inflict as much damage as possible based on all the markings on the outside. Equipment is in perfect shape. I plan to get a few more of this size and use for basic luggage when I need to check a bag. The yellow makes it easy to spot.Cutting foam for a close fit is easy. Works great.

Great case - professional and durable
This case is amazing! I bought it to hold my set of Alien Bees studio lights, and after spending a couple of hours getting the layout just right, I'm very pleased. It provides rock-solid protection and it looks very professional. I actually like this Storm case much better than the Pelican 1650 that someone had recommended to me for this project. The handle on the Storm just seems sturdier to me, and I like the push-buttons on the locks. Picking the foam can get tedious, but when it's done, the custom fit looks very nice.

You don’t get what you order!
Ordered this case with padded dividers and paid extra, it came with Foam. Really needed it and now I have to go do the whole process of the return. So the site says padded dividers but it’s not!

YELLOW? Check. Bulletproof? Check. Expensive? Check.
If you need to schlep ten thousand dollars worth of camera gear to East BF, this case is for you. If you need to carry delicate seismic equipment to the top of an active volcano, this case is for you. If you need to be able to see your equipment as soon as it hits the baggage carousel, this case is for you.Basically, if you have expensive stuff and need to protect it, spend the money and get one of these.

Not only for Photographers
I have purchased 3 of these over the last year and I love them. Pelican is the most amazing cases on earth. I got hooked on them when I was traveling with professional photography equipment and now I use them as my main suitcases as well. They are durable, reliable and sturdy. I love the latches on the Storm Cases as they are much easier than the regular Pelican Cases. I have over 20 Pelican products and I do not think there is anything better on earth to travel with!

Got the 'used - like new' version from Amazon warehouse and it was basically 100% new, so great deal there. Rolls excellent, as expected. I'm a big fan of the Storm series because the clips don't come apart on accident and overall these are very sturdy. I like the smooth surface, great for stickers. Handle is beefy and doesn't bend even with over 100lbs of gear inside. Will be purchasing again, if I ever need another one!

Excellent unit at a great price
I purchased this to carry an expensive and heavy item of electronic test equipment, and it is perfect. You need to plan carefully when cutting the material to form a hollowed-out space that fits your item properly; cut slowly, thoughtfully, and always a little 'small'....you can always come back and cut away more.Snap closures are two-step, so they don't easily pop open. There are provisions for locking, but they could likely be overcome by simply twisting a padlock that would be used.I've shipped the unit all over the world in it; it does show the effect of the careless people on the airlines, but it most certainly did the job well.
