Children's Spirit Animal Cards: 24 Cards and 92 Page Author's Guidebook

I have several sets of oracle cards that my daughter loves to pull from. She's only 5 years old so she doesn't quite understand most of the messages so I have to try to explain them in a way that she can grasp. These cards are absolutely perfect. I have not given them to her yet because they are for Christmas, but I took the plastic off so I could look at them because I'm not patient enough to wait. The guide book gives a great age appropriate message for each card and then gives a list of activities that your child can do throughout the day. Example: Be willing to apologize to someone if you have hurt their feelings, whether or not you meant to do so.Another thing I love about them(which I didn't even realize it had when I purchased them) is that it has a "Guide for parents" in the back. It basically has a little section for each card and it lists some ways you can help your child to understand the meaning of the card better or get through a specific situation. Example: Help your child embrace big changes with a sense of excitement instead of fear by how you talk about it, such as, "How exciting it is for you to be going into first grade!"I am already in love with these cards and have recommended them to a few of my friends who have young children. I can't wait to give them to my daughter!

I absolutely love this deck, the illustrations are beautiful. Great for my daughter to pull a card and have a positive motivational phrase to focus on. I recommend this deck for adults and kids because I love it too. As regards to some other reviews on mentioning God. This deck does incorporate God but as always in a deck this is a motivational deck and you can place your higher power in place of whatever it says. I personally love this deck and believe in a higher power. Also this is not a tarot deck. I wish the author would make one, this is more like a mini oracle deck for motivation. Great deck overall

My 4 year old is obsessed with my tarot and oracle cards so we decided she needed a deck of her own. The Children's Spirit Animal cards are sweet, uplifting, positive and easy to understand for kids as young as her and honestly I really enjoy them as well and will pull a card or two when I just don't want all the adult weight of my decks. Each card has an activity section with things the child can do to fully embrace the lesson of the animal, the activities are wonderful and range from self help techniques put at a kid level such as positive mantras like saying "I can do this" over and over when facing something hard to teaching gratitude and so many other life lessons. In the back of the book there is a parents section giving you ideas on how to model the spirit of the animal to your child such as modeling assertiveness for the bear, having a discussion about making good choices for the eagle, and encouraging artistic expression for the unicorn. Even if you're not a tarot or oracle person these sweet cards can be a great conversation starter and can help remind us as parents to hit some of those topics and emotional lessons that can sometimes slip by us.

I absolutely recommend these cards. My son and I focus on what we need for the following day and then pick a card. After school the following day, we both talk about how we applied the lesson of the card. He is becoming more responsible and in tune with his feelings. Me too. I highly recommend these as a family "game."

Nice set of beautifully rendered spirit animals, with easy to understand guidebook and explanations. I'm very pleased with this and recommend it. Does not have to be "just for kids"!

I bought this deck to use with my children. I was surprised to read the explanations at the bottom of the cards. They are phrased quite negatively. Similar to a warning or scolding, especially for a child. I’m thinking of returning them. The pictures are nicely done.

These are super cute and great for little kids. I love that the descriptions for each card is written for kids too. The illustrations are gentle. I bought these for my 7 year old son. He likes to pick a card and then we’ll display it for the day. These are similar to affirmation cards since there’s no card thats “troubling”. Today he drew the Wolf card and said he was going to call on his wolf spirit if he felt he needed extra confidence. Super cute

I was very drawn to this card deck even before I saw it in a local spiritual bookstore.I want to see what the cards looked like before I bought the card deck.And I thought the pictures on the cards were of cute pictures of animals and very colorful as well.Also the on the cards are very simple meanings as well.There is a booklet that comes with the card deck which explains the card more and mentions activities kids or adults can do.For example Stand up for yourself.It indicates being tougher around bullies and not being scared of expressing your opinion in general. Because the definitions of the cards are very lengthy it makes me wonder at times if this card deck would really be right for kids especially those younger then 9 years of age.Doreen Virtue's Cherub cards the definition of them are shorting and simpler for kids to understand,Also Doreen's Cherub Angel card deck box that's easier for kids to open as well.Despite the lengthy definitions of the cards and the box it comes in it's still a great card deck.And looking forward to using it more on myself and hopefully very soon I can do more card readings for kids as well.

Great cards for positive affirmations. Age range on the pack says from three years and up so you dont have to wait until they are 6.I like them. They are colourful and bright but I do think the guide book wording is too complicated. For the younger kids a small booklet with simplified answers would be more helpful and then as the child got older the guidebook would make more sense.The idea of it is still amazing though

These are beautiful cards. I bought them for my 4 year old but both my 4 and 2 year old absolutely love pulling a card daily and trying to follow the sweet motivating advice on the card for the day. These would be fab for slightly older children but equally as fun for the younger ones.

These cards have been a fantastic tool to make my daughter talk about her worries and general thoughts. She struggles to sit down and express her feelings and these beautiful cards are so captivating that she was very eager to do that. Really recommend.
