As a pen collector, I needed a case for my cabinet where my watch collection is kept. This box is nice! Attractive. Quality workmanship. I may get another!

I bought this to use as a gift to add the missing sizes of crochet hooks for my mom. They just barely fit but they do fit! If we had purchased the larger size box to hold 20 hooks, the bottom drawer would not have accommodated that size. (We purchased the Furls brand resin crochet hooks.)

It's a pen case, so all it needs to do is to hold pens, be durable, and look good with decent quality control in its construction. This case does that. I slowly bought five of these as my fountain pen collection grew. (I prefer all the cases to match.) I really don't have any complaints other than maybe the price went up by $9 since buying the first one, but inflation affects everything nowadays. But even then, it's worth the price to me because it's exactly what I want, so I don't have to test a dozen crappy alternatives just to find a good case.

I had long wanted a nice box to hold and display my collection of beautiful Mont Blanc and vintage sterling Parker pens on my desk, but I had not seen anything that appealed to me. When I saw this pen box I crossed my fingers and purchased it, and I am DELIGHTED with it. The design, materials, and quality of construction would make one think that it is FAR more expensive. The wood grain is beautiful, the brushed metal on the front as a handle are a perfect touch, the recessed hinge mechanisms are chromed and beautifully made and installed and function smoothly and flawlessly. The clear lid appears to be glass, although it could perhaps be a quality heavy and very clear plastic. It would make a great gift the wood box arrives in a beautiful presentation cardboard box. I would note that the cardboard box came in a larger shipping box with custom foam corners to protect it during shipping and the wood box itself was well packed inside the presentation box. I am particularly fond of good quality, and it is so nice to find a perfect product that exceeds expectations.

This case is beautifully made, sturdy yet elegant. The wood is perfect as is the hardware. In every way this display case shows impeccable fit and finish. I would recommend it to anyone. The only thing is when asked by Amazon to rate its features, there's one that says "for traveling". I gave it one star in that category not to diminish the product but to tell buyers this case is not meant for traveling and I don't know why Amazon would ask such a silly question. Trust me, this display case is 5 stars all the way around, but you wouldn't want to use it in any other way except on a desk or mantelpiece, anywhere in your home or office but not tucked away in your luggage for traveling anywhere.

Worth the extra money. The exterior looks and feels great The insert stays in place, and has a nice finish. The hardware is neat and well installed.
