Dora and the Unicorn King (Dora the Explorer) (Little Golden Book)

I gave this 5 stars because it lived up to it's promise of being a book, with Dora in it and unicorns. My 4 year old loved the book as long a a 4 year old could, before moving on to the next shinny or new object. Good book with ok character development. It helps to know the back story about Dora a Hispanic little girl who crosses large expanses of the world with out a passport, visa, money, or adult supervision. She travels with a talking monkey who wears boots and is appropriately named Boots! In this book she is once again running amuck and meeting new friends and helping to solve problems. That is the only down side of the book, I knew Dora would once again save the day and all would be right in the world. But if your child has the attention of a gold fish then they won't care about the easy to follow plot.

Little golden books just like I remember as a child. I base the rating on what my daughter does with the book since it is her book. If she is entertained, picks up the book herself, looks at the pictures, and asks me to read it to her (she is 3 and a half years old and doesn't read yet), and does this frequently, then I rate it 5 stars. It is hard cover and durable, so I expect it to be durable. The story is average type of Dora plot, nothing unique or awful, so rating is more for the staying power and long-term interest by my daughter. My daughter is into Dora and loves unicorns, so for us this is 5 stars.

If you child loves Dora this book is awesome because my granddaughter also love unicorns so this was perfect

This is a nice story about how a unicorn gained confidence to be king but Swiper is my daughter's favorite and he doesn't appear. Also don't recall much spanish or counting like in most of the other Dora books.

I love this little book. Little Golden Books never disappoint & I know my Granddaughter will love this when she opens her gifts today.

Great little book for the price! The graphics look very much like Dora, where I've seen other Little Golden Books that don't quite look like the characters. Great storyline. Loved the price - won't be upset if my daughter ends up ripping the pages, but so far this book is holding up to the abuse from my toddler.

Very cute book. My 5 year old daughter has been really into Dora books and dvds and loves unicorns so this was the perfect gift.

Great Dora book!

The storyline was not very good. The book came with the corners frayed and bent. Id like to be reimbursed for the book.
