Nice finish and just right size. But difficult to handle with hot coffee

I like the color and size of this cup. However, I was disappointed with its “leak proof” design and it’s ability to keep things “hot”. It doesn’t keep things hot or even relatively warm for more than a half hour at most. The top comes off rather easily and coffee spills freely out from the sides. I have had a variety of travel coffee mugs, (yeti, nespresso, Starbucks), and although this is the loveliest, most expensive it is the most useless.

Let me start by saying - I have LOVED this mug. I bought one of these mugs back in 2020 and it sadly broke after I dropped it. I went back to Amazon and ordered 2 new ones October 10. Right around Nov. 20, the bottom of the mint colored one shattered after I put hot coffee in it. The cup was not cold - just at room temperature (that's what coffee mugs are made for, right?). I contacted their customer service and the response I got was so disappointing. They just said, oh sorry - here's a 15% discount on your next purchase on a non-sale, non-bundle item. Bummer - they lost a customer.

I ordered this mug 3 different times. The first time, the lid did not fit. The second time, there was an indent in the ceramic. The 3rd time, the color was grey (I ordered green), there was no lid included, and there was a chip. The packaging was also covered in dog hair. Amazon instructed me to contact the company and the company said they could not help me and that I would need to contact Amazon. Looks like a cute mug but don't waste your money. It is poor quality and poor customer service.

I needed a coffee cup for work and I liked the look of this one plus with the silicone like outside I figured it would help with the grip. For the price the cup is great, everything works and it’s easy enough to clean. My only real ‘gripe’ would have to be how the cup takes on the contents temperature - hot or cold. If you put in some hot coffee it’s almost difficult to hold for the first few minutes. It’s not unbearable, but was unexpected. I’ve never had a cup take on the contents temperature like that. This also does the same with cold liquids. Some may like that - I could see it being nice on a freezing winter day - but I had hoped the outer texture would dissipate the contents temperature more than it does. I’m not sure if other reviews touched on that but I thought it was worth a mention.

I don't think I hate anything more than when my coffee gets cold. When I stay at a cafe and don't order "to go" inevitably, my coffee quickly gets cold. So, instead of getting my coffee in a "to go" cup even when I'm staying and destroying our planet, I now take this in with me and my coffee stays warm. I'm happy and so is mother earth! In addition, I can easily take it to go if I want to. Every barista who has ever seen it always compliments it and asks where I got it. I've never had a problem with the lid not staying closed, which some people complained about. Not sure what that's about.

I bought for my mother but she does not like it. She said when she put coffee in it, the cup was too hot for her to hold. She likes the matching bowl I got her.
