A Good Read
This book is part of a series. I really like how so far each book has added something to the total story and expanded each character.

I could feel the pain and heart break between then both. But it was great to see the new relationship.

Bowie Bodine is book boyfriend perfection!
Bootleg Springs is the most fun I've had reading in a long time. I absolutely love to read, but scouring these books for clues on the disappearance of Callie Kendall, spinning theories, and discussing those theories with fellow Lucy and Claire fans takes these books to a new level! Top that off with a new and engaging romance in each book and recurring characters you can't help but love and you've got Bootleg Springs!Moonshine Kiss is book three in this series, and it is amazing! I couldn't love Bowie and Cassidy more! Bowie is book boyfriend perfection. Even when he doesn’t think he can have Cassidy, he is there as a friend and protector. He is the perfect combination of oh so sweet and protective. He is a good guy through and through. I love that he would do anything for Cassidy, and while his reasons for staying away may be misguided, he always tries to put her first.Cassidy is amazing. She is strong and independent, but given her past experiences with Bowie, she tries hard to protect her heart. She is the ice to her best friend Scarlett’s fire, and as an officer of the law she always tries to do what is right. However, when her loyalties are questioned, she is forced to reevaluate those gray areas in life.Bowie and Cassidy both have a lot going on in their lives, but I loved watching them figure out how to support one another. They fit together like two perfect puzzle pieces, and while they have always loved each other, it was fun to watch them figure out how to embrace that love. Their chemistry was off the charts, and I loved that Bowie knew what he wanted and refused to back down. He never pushed Cassidy beyond what she was comfortable giving, but he consistently nudged her to embrace what she wanted while working hard to prove he wouldn’t let her down.I love that each of these books lets us check in with the characters and relationships from previous books as their lives are so connected. I also love guessing who will be next and who they will end up with. I went through all the emotions with this group yet again in Moonshine Kiss. I laughed so many times, I was on the edge of my seat in anticipation when new evidence was revealed, I was disappointed when things went wrong, and I celebrated when things worked out. I love this group, and I can’t wait for the rest of the series to be released! If you haven’t read books one and two, I highly recommend you start there. While the romance in each book is new, the mystery is a lot of fun when you read in order. You also don’t want to miss any of the stories, because they are all fantastic!

Small town second chance love and mystery
Moonshine Kiss is the third book in the Bootleg Springs series. The books should be read in order as it makes more sense and each book deals with the Callie Kendall mystery. Cassidy Tucker and Bowie Bodine are both challenged with communication, and have spent ten years apart due to a huge communication snafu, and misunderstanding. All the Bodines are in this story, as well as the entire Bootleg Springs town. It is a delightful, funny, full of sweet banter, friendships, introspection, steamy! love, and of course, Bootleg Springs justice. A thoroughly enjoyable read from start to finish. I am very excited to see who June Bug is going to be with, as she is the most non romantic Bootleg Springs woman. The book brought a smile to my face as Cass and Bowie found their way to each other to create a HEA. Lucy Score and Claire Kingsley continue to give us amazing, fun, quirky, small town romance and mystery! Thank you beautiful book Goddesses.

Romance, tension, a mystery, and comedy!
I laughed out loud several times during this book, my favorite so far in the Bootleg series. I loved the interplay of drama and comedy in this book. And Cassidy and Bowie have the hottest scenes so far too, in my opinion. Loved it!

Little romance
2.25☆1st person dual POVspoilersBook focuses a lot on the investigation and Cassidy's job. Then the sub seems like relationship drama but i don't mean romantic drama between the H and h. It's more friendship/family drama. the H and h's friendship, the h and her dad, the H and his sister, the h and how she sees herself, the H and how his family legacy makes him seem. Then last its has a courtship between the H and h. And I say courtship rather then romance because I didnt get and swoony, ment to be, heart tugging, they are ment to be feeling. It's all right, wrong, were suppose to be rather then seeing a relationship play out. I get that they already loved eachother but it's still a different love that grows deeper being in a relationship but I never saw or felt that.I was good with the book till to much focus turned toward Connelly and him being able to cost her her job. So of course that ment she needed to stay away from bow so that didnt happen. But I found it as made up drama that I didnt find plausible. How could he cost her her job. I get the it gets a little slippery cause hes a state officer but Her higher up is her dad and he doesnt think shes doing anything wrong. So what's next reporting the whole police station to the state? Ok so let him, she isnt doing anything wrong, he took her off the investigation and was making her turn old reports digital (although I dont get how he could make her do that either he can take her off the investigation but how can he stop her from her normal police duties, and what did he care about old case files that had nothing to do with him or his investigation?) and since she listened a state investigation would just make him look dumb. And I dont get why dev didnt look into it like he mentioned. He had weeks to do what little old ladies did in a night which is another thing that throws me.

Loved this book
This is a story that keeps you engaged, wanting to know what is going to happen next. I loved how the characters develop, that the characters we met in the previous books continue popping up in these books, the humour, the different personalities and the suspense to find out the truth. On to the next book in the series :)

Very disappointing hero
I must say that in Scarlett book I liked all the brothers just fine (maybe Gibs a little more even if he seemed the biggest a****le of all) but Bowie really got demoted to 'despise him' with his own story. He has been a pain in the ass all the time, pretending everything goes his way and acting like whatever he decides has to happen. And he was so selfish, using the excuse of trust to pressure Cass into giving him information about the case!!! She is a cop, she can't share details! He should have been the one trusting her to do her job well and find the real truth! He and his freaking sister (that I love) need to understand that the LAW works in a certian way and Cassie could put her job and the investigation in jeopardy by leaking information!! Are they really so stupid? What if evidence of innocence got discarded because of their association? If she was a doctor, would she still be supposed to share about her patients just to prove how much she trust them??? And let's talk about the fact that he wants to share things but if they're not in his favour he doesn't want it anymore. Hypocryt. And after all the pushing HE did because HE decided HE wanted the relationship, HE got all pissed off because she wants to do her job well and right and HE doesn't know how to balance it. It made me sooo mad!!! In general this book was waaaay to long... 30% could have been efficiently cut.

Swoony!
The next instalment of the Bootleg Springs series delivers another swoony love story this time centering on Bowie & Cassidy. Is there anything better then a good guy doing all he can to be a better guy? Bowie Bodine is in love with Cassidy Tucker. There’s no denying that; except maybe to himself. This is a beautiful story of wanting. Two people destined to be together kept apart by perceptions and misunderstandings.I really enjoyed the treatment Lucy Score gave this story. I was rooting for the couple from the first page.As is expected in this Lucy Score & Claire Kingsley collaboration the secondary characters and town itself plays a huge role in the humour of the story. Gram-Gram and Scarlett definitely steal the scenes they are in.We learn a whole lot more about the disappearance of Callie Kendall in this story and the mystery deepens.I highly recommend this series to those looking for swoony love stories set in a likeable town with a touch of mystery.I am eagerly awaiting the next installation Bourbon Bliss featuring Cassidy’s sister, June in January.

When Work Gets In The Way
I’d probably give this book 4.5 ⭐️ if I could. This is the third book in a continuing series. Each book deals with one couple within the same family/circle of friends, but there is an overarching plot told over the course of the series. There is no cliffhanger relating to the romantic aspect of the book, but the overarching plot is unresolved at the end of the book.Cassidy Ann Tucker has loved Bowie Bodine since she was in kindergarten. Bowie is the older brother of her best friend Scarlett and they have always been a part of each others’ lives. When Cas was 19-years-old she thought she saw in Bowie the same feelings she had for him and she got her hopes up. Then he dashed those hopes when he told her to her face that he thought of her as a little sister. Ever since she has been looking for someone to love and be loved by in the same way her parents love each other.Bowie has wanted Cass since she was 16-years-old and it was only the thought of being a creepy older guy that stopped him acting on those feelings. Just as he starts to cave and to consider telling her how he feels, he decides that he isn’t good enough for her and tells her that he doesn’t think of her that way. By breaking Cass’ heart, he breaks his own. In the 8 years since the day he destroyed the idea of them as a couple, he’s never found anyone that can live up to Cass.Cass is a deputy sheriff and her father is the sheriff of Bootleg Springs, a rather different undertaking to most small towns, as it has some very unusual town ordinances on the books, some of which were covered in the previous two books. As Cass is part of the investigation into the disappearance of a young girl 12 years earlier that got re-opened after her cardigan was found in Bowie’s deceased father’s house, they have to tread carefully around each other, because Cass doesn’t want to risk the job she’s wanted since she was a teenager not even for Scarlett and Bowie. This book delves a great deal further into the disappearance, which is unsurprising given Cass’ job. There are police procedural elements to the book as well as the romance and family drama aspects. I really enjoyed the mystery part of this book as it really ramped up after the previous two books.I also really enjoyed the conflict between Cass wanting to do her job well and wanting to support the people she cares about. It feels like she is forced to do a great deal of growing up mentally and emotionally through the course of this book. She has to deal with deep emotional conflicts that shake the foundations of who she is and who she wants to be.Bowie is the vice principal at the local high school and he’s really made something of himself considering his very humble and unpleasant beginnings. However, he has to learn what is the most important thing to him, his desire to be a good guy and do the right thing or his love for Cass. This book gives a much clearer picture of what life in Bootleg Springs is like. We also get a lot more information about the kind of life the Bodines had growing up as information about the case is uncovered and the relationship between the Bodines and the Tuckers is explored. There are a lot a layers to this book and I enjoyed reading about each of them as they were peeled back. Reaching the end of this book has made me hungry for the next one as the investigation part of the storyline has been ramped up and as I’ve got to know the characters involved much more.

Moonshine Kiss
This story had me laughing, my heart breaking for Cassidy and swooning over Bowie. The really special part of this story is the town's people, they're something else.An enjoyable read, but only 4 stars because there were some very important things left unfinished.
