Large Pegboard Kit – 4 Black 24"x16" Panels for Wall and Tool Organization

Just right for my office. These things are nicely made with plenty of offset from the wall so you can easily add all the hooks/racks/shelves you want. Opinions vary on how to mount them, but I am happy with threaded self-tapping drywall anchors. Note that this means you would need to find the studs in your wall and NOT drill into them. If your studs are spaced at 16-inch intervals (not all are, not matter what Dad told you as a kid about those marks on your measuring tape), once you've found the first one, you're in good shape since these panels are 16 inches wide. I used six mounting holes, leaving the two at the center of the short edges unused. That's enough dry anchor to old over 100 pounds, which I doubt you're going to hang on one of these panels. For ordinary bench tools, this is going to be fine. The black plastic looks great for hiding the scuffs and other blemishes that pegboard accumulate. Mounting was easy. Use a level and the internal stick from a ballpoint pen to mark the holes. Drive your anchors in until flush to the all. Start all six (or eight, if you're a maniac about this sort of thing, like my dad was) screws but DON'T tighten them down until all six are half-way in. This lets you jiggle the panel a wee bit to cope with the fact that your anchors probably didn't go in precisely where you marked the wall. After the first panel, just make each one is flush along the top end (your level helps with this again, but ignore the bubble now, because making tall four parallel is more important than any minute levelling error you made in the first one). I got a rock-solid attachment to the wall from this approach, with no gaps. Absolutely rigid, lined up, and flat. Remember to vacuum up the drywall dust sinking your anchors left on the floor. This are a good deal. I recommend them.

Great product. I love the raised design, offsetting it from the wall. Easy to install hooks. Hook size: Hook sizes are ok. Got the job done with some clever placement. I do wish there was a larger variety of styles and sizes. Used them to mount NERF guns for kid bedroom. Some of the guns are wider then the length of the L hook leg. The J hook curve is a bit narrow for some as well.

I included a pic of my install showing 2 sets (4 pegboards each) of these panels. Be advised that there are NO screws included, so you will need screws and/or anchors to attached these to the wall. However, the way they are built, they are already offset from the wall when you attach them. Unlike just a plain pegboard that will need offsets from the wall so that you can insert your hangers, these units do not any other parts except screws. They're also sturdy, and capable of hanging some heavier items. This I thought was great-, the screw holes are 8" apart, so every other screw will line up with your wall studs, meaning 4 screws on each panel can be screwed into a stud without modifying or drilling extra holes in your new pegboard. For me personally it works. I've seen reviews about people complaining how it breaks when you put it up on the wall and to those people I say you must not know how to use your tools. If you ask me anything more than 4inch pounds on your drill is way too much for these panels, the screws aren't going to fall out if you don't tighten them until you can't get your drill to fasten them anymore, if you do that stuff with screws you're an idiot, this isn't a crank bolt you're putting on. As for quality my only complaint is the edges, they could do without the boarder on them so you can get the panels to fit 100% flush together but it's fine the way it is still. As for durability, my wall has about 150 pounds of tools and cleaning supplies between the 11 panels I have up so there is no shortage of strength here between the plastic hangers and the plastic peg boards. All in I will be buying more when I get moved into our house and I'm very satisfied with the product in looks and functionality. Now if only they sold these in 15 to 20 panel kits too.

You cannot use the peg holes by the edges; there is no hardware to install them (screws & anchors). Other than that, it's a good product

Works great on 24" studs, level the first one, the rest just stack and screw. Exactly what I expected!!
