Apple Wireless Charging Case for AirPods

works great!! i lost my airpods case and this is a good replacement. so far has been working great and my air pods have connected to my phone as usual

My daughter lost one AirPod and my son lost one AirPod and I had to replace them with another, so I pieced together a set from the ones they still had but I needed a charging case. This one is perfect! I've used it for a while now and it charges perfectly and keeps the charge a very long time. I compared it side by side with my son's and there's zero difference. We actually confused them after a minute or two and had to figure out which one was mine again lol! It's fantastic and saves you so much money in not having to get another OEM one. The size, white color, design, fit.. everything is just the same. It's super durable and keeps my pods safe and sound. I dropped it only once, but the case stayed close and the lid did not pop open at all. There wasn't even a ding! It's easy to charge (just pop it on any compatible wireless charger like the ones that work for charging phones) and you're good to go!

I lost my AirPod case while shopping on Wednesday (thankfully I had the AirPods in my ears) so wasn’t sure what I was going to do. Did an internet search and OF COURSE was able to get the case on Amazon-and overnight! Hated having to spend so much but much much cheaper than having to buy new AirPods as well as the case. Learned my lesson -will never hang the case off my purse again!!! Showing what I received-obviously actual Apple case so worth the $. It did need to be totally charged. When I first plugged it in (I do not have wireless charger right now that charges AirPods) and I was a little nervous since it was charging VERY slowly but once I took the AirPods out of the case charged much faster (not sure if that was the reason) and within a couple of hours was fully charged. The actual AirPods charged very fast. Very grateful to Amazon for allowing me to find this case!!!

UPDATE: My new Apple charging case seems to be working now. There are no detailed instructions or troubleshooting guides included with this product so I’m giving 4 stars. After experiencing the ordeal listed below in my original review post... I left the new, empty charging case plugged in for a few hours (6 or more hours) and then tried pushing the button on the case again to connect it to my iPhone via Bluetooth. Surprisingly, it connected and the battery status widget on my iPhone indicated the charging case was 57% charged. I left it charging until the next morning and it was fully charged. I put my first generation AirPods in the new charging case and they charged up in 15 minutes. I have no idea why it took so long for the new case to charge 100% the first time I plugged it in, why it flashed orange and wouldn’t initially connect via Bluetooth (maybe case battery was too low to connect). If you buy this product I would highly recommend taking it out of the box, use an Apple lightning cable, plug it into an Apple charging block or magnetic charging pad or Apple laptop lightning port to charge it over night (leave AirPods out of the case and charge it at least 12 hours) and do this BEFORE attempting a Bluetooth connection or attempting to insert your AirPods into the new case to charge. —————————- Original Review Post: I bought this replacement case that can be charged with a magnetic charging pad or with an Apple lightning cable. I opened the box plugged it in and it will not charge. I tried 5 different charging cables plugged in to a typical USB wall charging block, into a 5 port USB charging station, and into the USB port in a laptop... nothing worked. I finally logged into an online chat session with Apple Support, waited 10-15 minutes to receive a response from an Apple Representative, the representative was not familiar with the new generation of AirPod charging case which became apparent as his troubleshooting instructions including describing the color of the LED indicator light on the inside of the case (it’s located on the outside of the case) and indicating that the newer generation of AirPod charging case was not backwards compatible with first generation AirPods and would not charge them. After an hour of troubleshooting with the Apple Support Representative he asked for the serial number and my mailing address so he could send a box to me so I can ship the brand new defective second generation AirPod charging case back to Apple so Apple can “repair it.” I asked the Apple Support Representative how much it would cost and he said $79 for the repair. Typical Apple mode of operation... it’s so simple and easy to repair or upgrade an Apple product... you just throw it away and buy a new one. Needless to say I’ll be returning this product back to Amazon. IN SHORT, DON’T BUY THIS PRODUCT. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY.

I bought this as a backup case because I lost my other case and this case works just as well as the case that you buy with the actual AirPods. I would definitely buy this again. It’s the same design same everything same charge same everything that you get with the normal case that comes with the AirPods I would definitely buy this again if I lost my case.

We accidentally left the AirPods case on the train- this was the best solution! Paired perfectly with our AirPods and kept us from a full purchase. Case was in perfect condition and made what would have been a very sad situation into one that was not bad.

Had a pair of airpods but no case. Case works perfectly with airpods just need to hold the sync button to reset it and connected to my phone no problem. Currently have an android phone but still works as it should minus some of the functionality

Wireless charger, cool.

When I bought these I thought they would come brand new, which they did not. When I opened the box I could already see that it was already open because there was no outer plastic covering the box, like if it was new. When I opened the box and checked the case I noticed that there was some dust and build-up near the corners of the case, (Where the AirPods would charge) I am giving them the benefit of the doubt because they are working perfectly as intended. Got a replacement pair and they came brand new, I would recommend.
