I’ve only used this leash a few times but it seems to be very helpful. I have 2 dogs that are slightly different sizes (27 pounds and 40 pounds) and not terrible well behave. I was afraid that that would make this leash less effective but it doesn’t seem to matter. The design is great since the swivel allows the dogs to change sides weave around without getting tangled. They have only wrapped me in the leash once and that was because I let one get behind me while the other was in front. In reality, the fact that they are hooked together is actually helpful because if one stops to sniff something for too long, the other dog will do the pulling to hurry his sibling along. I just have to lift my end of the leash from time to time to make sure that the one behind doesn’t circle around and tie me up. I used to have to walk the dogs separately but now I have the option of walking them together. I expect as we all get more accustomed to the process that it will get easier. The braided leash seems sturdy and well made. The handle is comfortable in your hand with the foam padding. It’s almost like a tow rope for water skiing. The singular part is short while the split sections are longer and that helps the dogs not get tangled. It works well for my situation. I’ve never had a dual leash before but I would buy this one again.

Long-overdue review: this made my life instantly better walking two terriers that have a mind of their own and rarely seem to walk in the same direction. At first I wasn't sure about the "floating" handle design (the foam handle isn't attached to the rope, it moves freely, but once I got used to it I appreciated its design. It gives me good control, no tangles, and also lets me let the dogs pull each other when they want to chase two separate smells in to entirely different directions. Downside: when they greet and play with other dogs and the other dog's leash gets tangled, you really can't untangle it, the other owner with a single leash has to be the one to untangle. Sometimes I wish the individual leashes were detachable, but it might interfere with the anti-tangle function so I'm OK with it. The leash itself is very durable (I've stepped on it and dropped it so they could run around) and easy to wash if it needs it.

It is good and strong. The only dissapoint for me is that it is short. I had to add a leash to the handle to make it longer. But I am tall (5'9"), so that is not uncommon for me. I wish the length was adjustable. The handle is well padded, and I need that as the two pups think they are pulling a sled as we walk. The dogs love it and never get tangled.

This leash is excellent!!! I have two strong 70 lb pit bulls and this leash is perfect for them. The other leash that I had brought at the local pet store did not have the mobility that this leash provides and when one would pull one way, the other would get jerked abruptly in that direction because they were attached too closely - I even extended the leads out as far as they would go. This leash is also great for when they do their business - they are not right on top of one another. I love the freedom that is provides them while also letting me maintain control of them. One of my guys likes to walk in the woods and the other likes to stay on the sidewalk and the length allows me to let them each do what they like without pulling on the other one. I would highly recommend this leash.

Not sure this was the right choice for my two standard poodles, hard to control with the padded handle, leashs are long so that you cant grab one leash for control. It appears to be well made but I have only tried using once and did not feel comfortable trying it again. My dogs are leash trained but somehow this item was not ideal.

Love the leash & the color!! My 2 dogs don't get tangled. One of my dogs is a mini aussie mix (around 28 lbs) & very strong. She pulls hard when walking and the cushion handle (like a water skiing handle) makes it very nice. They are more controlled on this leash when other dogs approach them. My aussie mix has broken other leashes in the past (pulley leashes) and I don't think she will be able to break this leash. I ordered this product and it arrived one day earlier than expected, which was great.

I have used double leashes before, and despite my best efforts, they tangle easily and are frustrating to use. This leash has a long lead for each dog, and swivels when the dogs cross over each other so it minimizes entanglements. The handle is comfortable to hold. While the leash isn't perfect and my dogs do occasionally get tangled, it is, by far, the best I have found. (Note -- I walk a lab on one line and a much smaller mix on the other line, and it still works.)
