This hose works great. A massive upgrade from the cheap stuff that originally came with my pool. This hose is a bit bigger in diameter than the original hoses and fittings for my pool, so I had to use some really strong hose clamps to clamp and seal this new hose without leaks. Also it's really stiff when it arrives, but if you unroll it and leave it in the sun on a warm day it softens up really nice

The Sun2Solar Flexible PVC Hose functioned well and fulfilled my pool filtration needs. This hose's overall thickness confirms that its built to last. It fit all of the 1 1/2 inch PVC couplings as expected. This hose's flexibility fulfilled my expectations and was an excellent value.

Flexible enough that it is fairly easy to work with. I had some trouble getting the hose to seal properly as the hose clamps would sink into the soft plastic, and water would follow the spiral strengthening rib in the hose to leak. I solved this by putting a layer of tough rubber (old bike tire tread) under the hose clamp. After a year or two, the hose starts to yellow and degrade where it is exposed to sunlight. I recommend covering the hose or burying it to keep it out of the sun. Great price compared to local box store.

I needed this PVC hose in order to run a replacement 1.5" water line in a confined space. This product worked perfectly! I was able to use PVC solvent and bond them to fittings I sourced from the local hardware store. I highly recommend this product! It arrived on time, and worked perfectly for my application! (Note: If using PVC glue, extra cure time is needed, per my experience.)

Best purchase this year. After blowing 3 hoses in 4 years I broke down and ordered this in a 50' roll. The inner diameter was slightly larger than 1.5" but it fit fine on the pump and pool fittings. (Hayward sand filter) I purchased barbed fittings per other peoples feedback but didn't need them. I had a slight drip and then a quick tighten of the clamp fixed that. I left the hose out on the hot driveway before installation. It was plenty soft to work with. I noticed a huge increase in water pressure. I walk by the skimmer now and nearly lose my bathing suit.

When my auto chlorinator failed I decided to re-plumb my above ground pool with this 1-1/2" semi flexible schedule 40 PVC to avoid frequent flex hose failures from UV exposure. I've done a lot of PVC plumbing but never used this semi flexible stuff. The material is thick and connects to regular PVC fittings with traditional PVC primer and cement. I read that you can also use with traditional barbed fittings so I used Hayward true 1-1/2" dis connectable sealed fittings so I could pull the filter or chlorinator out without having to open the hose clamps. I found that the barbed connection worked but rotated very easily before tightening the hose clamps (that never happens with the flex hoses) so to be safe I used a little PVC adhesive and double clamped each fitting as I shouldn't have to break the connection at the barbed point with the Hayward connector. It worked very well without a single drip or adjustment!! I left long service loops on all connections just in case I have to replace component in the future. All of the fittings I used were true 1-1/2" (instead of the tapered once size fits all flex tube connectors and it definitely improved the flow in and out of the filter and auto chlorinator. Very happy with the project and saved a bit on Amazon rather than my local home store price by the foot.

I bought this to plumb our above ground pool and solar heaters. The hose is heavy weight and after 12 months of use shows no sign of deformation due to pressure or temperature. The hose is flexible considering how thick the walls are, but it isn't as flexible as something like vacuum hose. Plan on about a 12" diameter bend maximum. This is MUCH better than the "cheap" plastic pool hoses.
